The battle was over in just a few moments. It had been one-hundred men armed with old weaponry and were just there to make sure that nothing suspicious happens in Redill. The small village that sat ten miles away from the fort itself. We thought we were facing some two hundred men. Impossible odds for us, we were barely trained, and were just the police force of the town and the watch guards of the borders. Nobody was expected to come this way, before the hills, hazardous mountains would block your path. Other than the rare barbarian attack, an attack here was not logical so it was not given much attention. This was probably why the Union attacked this spot.

Redill was supposed to be called Red Hill but some typo changed that. Redill was the site of a battle said to have made the grass red... everywhere. Whether it was true or not remains a mystery to all. The Battle itself was the Kozai Grand Army in the days of swords, numbering in at 10,000 men versus the ill-equipped barbarian horde of 25,000. The Kozai Army decimated most of the barbarians even though they still lost. It stopped the Horde though as they were too weak. This was totally different.

As our air reinforcements destroyed the army before us, we cheered. Though, it didn't last long, due to the surprise attacks, our planes had not been properly equipped. There was a maintenance check right when we learned of the attack. They had planned their attack well, and the steel birds disappeared back into the fort. When we charged at them, we easily ripped the remains of the army to shreds. But then, a Horde came from the top of the hills into our small valley that lay between thier small hills and our one large one, Fort Redill. This time, the enemy was much larger than the last. Air superiority would not be enough. This was some sixty men versus the entire Kozai Liberation Union Army.

An hour later, elsewhere, Siath Kozai sat in his office reading a report stating the outcome of the attack by the Union. At the bottom it states that, in bold letters, "Redill Region Sacked."

"I knew the Union would be major threat. When the Liberationist Parties were separated, they were weak and we could hold up against them. Now that they are unified, they can match the strength of our army! At least those Loyalists haven't joined them or unified themselves... Can you get my adviser in Military affairs and Foreign Affairs as well as our Ambassadors? We haven't sent any out, have we?"

"No, I mean, yes, your Highness, and no to sending them out, I'll summon them at once." A tall, attractive, seemingly shy woman that sat in a desk next to Siath quickly got up, then realized that she could just use the phone and did so while sitting back down. It took only a minute than she was done.

"No need to be so shy. And I know you're not like this quite often, just when you're at work and around me.  You are my best and my head Adviser, you shouldn't be shy." Suddenly, the requested people walked in.

"OK... I assume you all know whats happening. And I assume you all know what I plan to do, we can't handle this alone. We need allies, and fast. We are young, and now is the time we should get some. We'll contact all nations we are on good terms with and..."

Three days later...

Still nobody to reply to our plea... I hope they come, or the nation of Kozai is then a thing of the past. And surely those fools aren't fit to rule, and if they did overthrow the family... then the people loyal to me, and the Loyalists will not just standby and watch.

"Why can't you people understand that I'm not like my father." said Siath while walking a lonely street to the castle.

Almost out of nowhere, as Kozai turned into Main Street, three armed men charged at him. However, it only took a few seconds for Siath's bodyguards to rip them apart. They were among the best in the Kingdom, though not better than who they were guarding. Siath was just walking on by while they did their job. Simple muggers couldn't defeat two knights.

Later in Siaths office...

"Still no word?" asked quietly to one of his lesser Advisors.
"Yes, sire."
"Any news?"
"No.. sire."
"Don't call me sire."
"Yes, sire... oh, I mean, yes."
"We need to get on with this. We should muster the main bulk of our army and march to Redill, we know that they can't travel as fast as we can... so... we could make it thier faster than they can get here. Any news on the Loyalists?"
"The usual."
"Well, the usual is always not good."

Siath sighed, they can't handle the Liberationists on thier own, thier army is too small and the Liberationists could easily defeat the Royal Army... although it was the same for the other way around too. They were both an equal match.

Chancellor Yuri stood at his desk when he heard the news. The Kingdom of Kozai was in need of allies to stop a civil war. Yuri thought back to his partisan years, back when he was the General-Secretary and Generalissmo of the Red Liberation Front. So now as Chancellor of the Canada-Quebecois Empire and leader of the People's Socialist Party he had the power to move troops to defend Kozai. He thought hard. The Canadian Army was already fighting in America and in Veramark, could they do one more war. Yuri picked up the phone. "General Wolf, I want you to mobilize an army immediatly. I need you to go to the Kingdom of Kozai. Yes. Use the Quebecois Battle Fleet. They can take you. Yes. Do it now." He then dialed another number. "Ambassador, tell the Kozai king that the Canadians are coming to his aid."

"The Canada-Quebecois Empire is sending troops to aid us? If they are, I wonder how they're getting here. The faster way is by air, but then you can't send that much troops. They can't get here by ships only... we're not hooked up into the ocean but some over-sized lake with small rivers or canals leading to the ocean. They'll have to end up walking here. It won't be easy." said Kozai as he was walking on of the elaborate hallways to his private rooms. It was late at night.

"Indeed. The Liberation Union has sacked the city of Myron." said a small, stressed, and overworked person next to him. He was a newly appointed new re-layer to Siath.

"They advanced north?"

"Toward us apparently. And info has revealed that they will... succeed." Suddenly, he drew a dragon that was hidden in his cloak and lunged at Siath. However, he was too quick and quickly drew back drawing his katana.

"So sad that I don't like to carry guns around. I have to use a sword instead." And in a few seconds that assassin was no more. Quickly he pulled out a small cell-phone from his pocket and messaged for some guards to clean out the trash. He then retreated to his room... and at the moment, his army was mobilizing.

(OOC: The reason the Liberationists are fighting is because they way Siath rose through power by murder of his father, Lyon Kozai, a tyrant.  They don't think Siath is fit to rule because of this and due to his young age. (he's around thirty) And the Loyalists who aren't very important in this RP are fighting because they like Lyon as a ruler. The Loyalists want to re-establish the false Republic and recreate the crazy laws that he had.)

General Wolf was at the head of a two-hundred thousand man army coming from the coast. There was an tank battalion and a few artillery batteries. But the bulk of the army was mounted infantry, all on horses. Wolf turned beside him and looked at Chief Haita of the Cree. The Chief was able to mobilize seven thousand of his men. They were easy to pick out of the army. The Cree warriors rode atop of majestic caribou. They were dressed in the Canadian uniforms and carried older Canadian SKS rifles. The regulars carried the newer Rk 62 rifles. The chief looked at Wolf. "We will arrive in Kozai in one week. I can't wait to be on the battlefield once more." The general nodded. It had been a long time since he was leading an army. As the Deputy Chairman of the High Command, he was usually never sent to battles. But since the chairman, Marshal Rommel was in Veramark, he thought he should go to Kozai. Perhaps this could secure a military and trade alliance, or maybe the General could influence the king to join Pax Imperium. But for the moment, the Canadian forces had to get to the border and then they were going to war.

It was chaos. Bombshells from the bombers zooming about from above reeked its wrath. Nothing was left standing. The damage had been damage had been done. The Union had advanced north of Myron to the lively town of Syre. It had a military base stationed there. They couldn't stand up against the Union as the bulk of thier forces were destroyed in Myron.

I moved along the destroyed streets, no enemies were to be seen. It was an air attack. As I examined the bodies, most were dead, and few survived. The Union... they're just as bad as what they think they are destroying. It only resides in their mind that the King is horrible like their father. It is not true.

"One week you say? Relay a message to them stating to come through the Sizai Pass. Its the only easy route through our borders... unless they can get into our sea front somehow."

"Yes sir!" A young man stood in front of him in his office.

"And get General Lance Razor."

"Yes, sire." And he ran out to the Kings bidding.

"The Sizai Pass. That isn't too far from here." General Wolf moved his soldiers towards the pass. The mounted infantry rode on heavy Przewalski's horses. they were smaller and more hardier than other horses. The general spurred his horse towards the pass. The Canadians were used to the snow that the pass was covered with. It snowed almost every day, but the army pushed on. The caribou were almost at home in this enviroment and the horses easily found their way through. Some tanks had to have bulldozer shovel put on them so that the tanks and towed artillery could be brought through. General Wolf watched from his horse as the army made it's way to Kozai. He wrapped himself tightly in his heavy coat. The army came out of the pass six days after making their way through it, and what stood before them was a beautiful country. General Wolf lead the men down the mountains and into Kozai. They had arrived. But first they had to set up camp so the men and horses could rest. he turned to his radioman. "Tell the Kozai king that we have arrived in southern Kozai. We are resting right now, but by tommorrow, we will be ready to fight." The radioman saluted. "Yes sir."

"They passed Sizai."

"Surprising they made it... its the easiest path through our border but still brutal with its high altitude and the coldness. How come it took our nation till the Middle Ages to be able to get discover it and get through it with heavy damages...?"

"Maybe because we were primitive. They are camping in the Sizai Province and will be ready to fight soon."

"Sizai is in the south-easternmost province, correct?"

"Correct."

"Then you may take your leave." As the messenger left the room, he turned to Razor.

"Our plan will be to lead them to Redill Fort and secure it. Then head to Myron. Our own army will stop them from advancing. They've taken over 5 vantage points and their armies are moving all over Kozai. We've kept hush about the reinforcements?"

"Correct, they shouldn't kno- They had spies! They know."

"Then inform them to move to Nandia Fort. We'll launch an attack on Gryll, our watchers inform us that contains a large portion of their army. You will lead, Lance."

"I'll form a battle plan and see with the others of what they think of the plan."

"Good, I'm not a military expert like you."

The Canadian cavlry split into two groups. One went north to help the Royalists while the one led by General Wolf headed to meet up with the Kozai king. The Cree caribou cavalry stayed with General Wolf's group. They rode hard as fast as they could. A war was in progress and the Canadian army was needed on the front, but Wold had to meet the king. Wolf spurred on until he arrived at the Kozai capital. The army rode through and Wolf could see civilians and soldiers stare at the Canadian horsemen and the Cree warriors. Wolf came to the palace and rode his army through the front gate into the courtyard. The king and some advisors were waiting for them. General Wolf dismounted and marched up to the king. "General Wolf of the Imperial Army of Canada-Quebec at your assitance."

"Welcome, I assume you must all be tired, General Wolf, so my palace and the town is open up for you to rest and relax for a day. You may also leave clothing that you will not need here. Heavy jackets and the like are discouraged, as we are in the middle of the desert. I'm sure you brought some for the trip in the mountains."

The King looked around for a minute and took off his cloak with the Royal Family emblem on it. Now he wore loose pants colored white. No shoes, no shirt. He turned to Wolf. "Its hot here, isn't it. I grew up here and its not very comfortable. Must be because I'm used to the AC in the palace." Kozai laughed and suddenly turned serious. "Our first battle will be the most important one. We'll head towards the bulk of their army. We've tried to avoid most casualties in our army, it is sad. We have to hold back most of our troops to save the rest of Kozai. Your men should be able to give us the boost we need. So... we will head to Nandia Fort, rest, and move on to Gryll. What do you think? And I am use we should talk about other things as well."

Wolf nodded. "Good plan. These troops here will indeed do their jobs. You'll enjoy seeing them in action. This country is very hot, but we did bring desert clothes just in case. let me go change and then we can talk about other things." The General went to his room and changed from his red uniform to a light khaki uniform. He tied his saber to his belt. Rather have and not need it and need it and not have it. He found the King and they conversed over dinner. "I would like to see your army in action tommorow. My nation is familiar with civil war. Canada was ravaged by a war against a socialist militant group called the Red Liberation Front. But we were able to call a cease fire and discuss our problems with each other and know, we are a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary democracy. Our current chancellr is the leader of the Socialist Party and was the former leader of the RLF. So you will find my soldiers ready to destroy these traitors to your realm. I would like to ask if you know anything about Pax Imperium. PI came to my aid when I needed aid and I returned the favor during the Second War of Seccision. I am wondering if you would like to join. That alliance will make your nation strong."

"Aah. Our nations have something in common then. Pax Imperium... never heard of it. I'd like to know more before I join or not." The King picked at some spinach in his plate and finally pushed it aside to get some rice with broccoli and potatoes. "Well... the Liberation Union is not our only problem. We have tons of other anti-Kozai organizations. There are basically two different types, the Liberationists think I'm some evil maniacal ruler an don't want me to rule. All the Liberation groups have joined together to form that behemoth called the Liberation Union. The second group is the Loyalist, they pretty much make up the wealthy folk that benefited from my fathers tyrannical rule. The foot soldiers are probably there for the pay however and I doubt they actually that loyal to their employers." He finished up some rice and spoke once more. "I rose to power through the imprisonment of my father, which involved killing him in the end. The Liberationists think I'm just as bad as him and since I was his son, I have his views."

"Well, Canada has had it's fair share of tyrants. The late Emperor George III, Paul's father was an evil man and he built the empire into a oligarchy. We have only recently gotten rid of the last of his mistakes. Luckily for you, Kaiserin Selene is a judge of good character. She thinks you are truly a man of good character, so that's why we are here. If men with good character rule the world's nations, then it would be a peaceful world. Also, I needed to tell you this. Now that the Second War of Seccision in America is over, the Canada-Quebecois Empire will now be sending more things to you. But because of the decrease of our military's strength, the Empire will be sending our infamous Spectre gunships. I will tell you this right now as well. These Union and Loyalist soldiers are going to fall against real soldiers. We will not disappoint you." Wolf stood up. "I have eaten my fill, and I would like to rest for tommorow I ride to war. Goodnight Your Highness." Wolf bowed and left back to his room. He curled up and fell asleep.

It was early dawn. The sun was just coming out from its home below the dunes to brighten the desert nation of Kozai. The Grand Army stood outside the gates to Kozai, ready for battle. General Lance Razor was outfitting in tan pants made for flexibility, armor placed at key points away from the joints for maneuvering, a bulletproof vest, a belt loading with equipment, and a helmet. A gun was slung around his back with a pistol in its holster. Tanks stood in strategic points ready to wreak havoc. The air force was already at the destination. The allies were more ready than Kozai, they were more trained, more better equipped.
