The battle was over in just a few moments. It had been one-hundred men armed with old weaponry and were just there to make sure that nothing suspicious happens in Redill. The small village that sat ten miles away from the fort itself. We thought we were facing some two hundred men. Impossible odds for us, we were barely trained, and were just the police force of the town and the watch guards of the borders. Nobody was expected to come this way, before the hills, hazardous mountains would block your path. Other than the rare barbarian attack, an attack here was not logical so it was not given much attention. This was probably why the Union attacked this spot.
Redill was supposed to be called Red Hill but some typo changed that. Redill was the site of a battle said to have made the grass red... everywhere. Whether it was true or not remains a mystery to all. The Battle itself was the Kozai Grand Army in the days of swords, numbering in at 10,000 men versus the ill-equipped barbarian horde of 25,000. The Kozai Army decimated most of the barbarians even though they still lost. It stopped the Horde though as they were too weak. This was totally different.
As our air reinforcements destroyed the army before us, we cheered. Though, it didn't last long, due to the surprise attacks, our planes had not been properly equipped. There was a maintenance check right when we learned of the attack. They had planned their attack well, and the steel birds disappeared back into the fort. When we charged at them, we easily ripped the remains of the army to shreds. But then, a Horde came from the top of the hills into our small valley that lay between thier small hills and our one large one, Fort Redill. This time, the enemy was much larger than the last. Air superiority would not be enough. This was some sixty men versus the entire Kozai Liberation Union Army.
An hour later, elsewhere, Siath Kozai sat in his office reading a report stating the outcome of the attack by the Union. At the bottom it states that, in bold letters, "Redill Region Sacked."
"I knew the Union would be major threat. When the Liberationist Parties were separated, they were weak and we could hold up against them. Now that they are unified, they can match the strength of our army! At least those Loyalists haven't joined them or unified themselves... Can you get my adviser in Military affairs and Foreign Affairs as well as our Ambassadors? We haven't sent any out, have we?"
"No, I mean, yes, your Highness, and no to sending them out, I'll summon them at once." A tall, attractive, seemingly shy woman that sat in a desk next to Siath quickly got up, then realized that she could just use the phone and did so while sitting back down. It took only a minute than she was done.
"No need to be so shy. And I know you're not like this quite often, just when you're at work and around me. You are my best and my head Adviser, you shouldn't be shy." Suddenly, the requested people walked in.
"OK... I assume you all know whats happening. And I assume you all know what I plan to do, we can't handle this alone. We need allies, and fast. We are young, and now is the time we should get some. We'll contact all nations we are on good terms with and..."
