The Aesheta Oasis
The lonely scientist, Labib Zona Papavon crushed down the spice melange and then put it in his warm water. It formed a pasty, yet still watery drink as he gulped it down in one fluid motion. He twitched his head in its strong taste but it was so addicting. Even after 102 years of his life he still twitched like that. He felt his life was about to end though. His research was studying the different sands of Derva and the relationship to the Shai'hulud. The Dervish put on his headdress and wrapped cloth around his mouth. He took some of the paste and put it in his eye dropper. He dripped the water-mix in his eyes as he blinked and then proceeded outside. Outside was his family's old Shai'hulud. The worm was old, almost 300 years old now and he still held in the greatness he had when he was just a boy. The Dervish  walked across the dune and patted the worm on the head. It opened its large mouth which held many crystalline teeth. The Dervish said to the worm, "non pavastaevi" and he started to make "shhh..." sounds to try and calm it. He pulled out his crystalline sword and started to cut off the worm's excess skin that folded into the mouth. The large worm had endured this regular surgery so much it was used to it but still it shook as his Freman was shortening it.

The Labib pulled out a piece of cloth and started to dry off the blood. While doing that he noticed that the equipment that drilled down into the sand to get older samples of sand started to stop. It's too early to be at maximum range yet...

In that instant the drill started to drill backwards.

The drill started to drill backwards faster and faster. The dervish's gold colored eyes started to widen as he started to run from the drill. He wasn't running very fast but he just wanted to get the hell out of where he was.

The drill popped in the air and a strange black liquid started to ascend in the air. It started to rain in it as the well of the strange liquid squirted up. It had a strange smell to its essence as it started to stain his clothes. He got inside and waited for it to die down.

After a day the dervish was worried about how the black liquid was still shooting up from the ground. The scientist knew he would have to cap it. Around the pipe that was in it he grabbed its package cap and placed 2 weights on it (50 lbs each). Hey threw it on the pipe and started to twist it. After much struggle he managed to cap it. All around the area there was black and his house had the black liquid on it. He took some samples of the strange liquid inside and started to study the contents of it.

Marcus Agrippa of Agrippa Oil Industries prepared to enter the leader of Derva’s Study. His company had formed rather quickly, his family had the money and with the support of a few banks, who were going to make a killing on the bloody interest. They had gather what they felt was a good amount of money for this poor nation. They were about to offer the nation and the people in it a multi billion Sesterces contract that rivaled the entire economy of the nation.

He smilled to himself this deal would be rather profitable, hopefully they wouldn’t really kow how much they have. They will make the fast buy and soon be making profits of levels unheard of. All it needed was a simple buy.

Holding the brief case in one hand, a bottle of Ventilion wine, a superior year indeed. In his brief case was a mass of contracts to present, they would explain the basic idea of purchasing the complete oil rights in exchange for a up front payment and a yearly payment of a rather substantial amount to grow as more oil is found and tapped. He shifty so he was holding both items in the same arm and walked ot the door.

Opining the door, a large and friendly smile on his “Hello, I’m Marcus Agrippa, my company has contacted you. We are here to discuses a very profitable business deal for your nation.”

The Oasis of Zepeda: the Palace of the Dervish Dire
The Study
In came a man with a different skin color than his own. Dire Delia Vas Shikna looked at the man. She noticed how much taller he was to her but once she motioned him to sit down he came to a similar level to her.

The dire spoke, "What business deal you speak about? This deal about oil. I do not understand why you want this black potent dye but," as she scanned the documents she was liking the deals, "I believe we will have a deal."

After minutes of reading each contract, 3 glasses of wine, and a few laughs, she finally signed it.

"This is very generous my friend. Luna and Solis appease you rich one."

He smilled and stood, “Thank you, you have insured the prosperity of your nation for long to come”

He left the study and took out his satalite phone, “its signed, we have the rights move in the towers”

---------

The Engineers and contractors began to arrive very rapidly, the journey was a bit expensive but the oil would be worth it. They hired a small army it seemed of locals to build the pipe lines to the coast and the hundreds of drilling towers. The Locals seemed to have never seen such large equipment and accidents involving locals who got to close to some of the equipment was a bit higher then the engineers would have liked. They couldn’t put in enough time to train everyone on safety. They did as much as they could to at least keep the death and injury rate low enough as to not hurt production. They were glade they didn’t have to work in Irnotia like this, they would have been closed down for safty violation as soon as starting.

But they were in another nation, a rather strange nation. The local environment was a rather large change form the perfect weather of Irnotia but the money they were getting was worth it.

It didn’t take long for pipes to be built going from the oil fields to the shore, the lines were defended and protected, more for the protection of locals then the lines. As they were rather high pressure and could burn the flesh off someone who made contact. Control stations insured the flow and the fields began to produce vast amounts of oil. The pressure was strong, the Agrippa oil Industries company had struck a gold mine of oil.

Soon the oil was to start to be sold in all the markets they could get into the vast amounts and low quality needed allowed them to sell it rather cheap for massive profits. The Local economy was about to get a rather large change.

Dire's Speech to the Dervish People

In Dervish
"Fellow Dervish, Today I have great news, these Irnotian and other national Companies have been giving us tons of money! I have proclaimed for our small but proud nation free college for every Native Born Dervish Citizen. All schools will be free and the parents don't have to worry about those costs anymore. Also, we are starting to grow more technologically. With this new money I will motion for more telecommunication projects, more public works, and better infrastructure. People, People, this is a dawn of Derva's Golden Age! Praise be to Luna and Solis for our prayers! Already the people of Derva are experiencing changes. When walking on the streets I once saw a poor man, and now when I saw him today, he was wearing brand new clothes and smoking a cigar of Zuavka. People of Derva, Do not fear these investors but welcome them. We have to progress, with this new money I've bought many Automobile Engineers and we will have our first batch of Automobiles. This is only a few things of our future greatness! Praise!!"

The people who were cheering at the ground level all danced and made almost a festival out of it.

Middle of the Desert
Freman Dalsme Upa Grenam woke up from his sound sleep. He heard something strange coming towards him and it wasn't Shai'hulud. The man got out of his tent and looked outside to see strange vechiles that weren't pulled by horses and were going faster.

He thought The Naib would want to hear about this

The fremen called his worm with his Ocra. The worm ascended from the ground and the Dervish got on it. He rode on top of the Worm until he got to the village. He ran inside the Naib tent where he and the new and young Sayyadina where in bed together.

"Naib Avon!"

"What?" he asked waking up.

"There's outsiders on horseless vechiles or ... It's hard to say. They're moving fast and they're coming our way."

"Call the Fedaykin!"
