Out In The Street
« on: July 05, 2007, 03:23:05 PM »
Even Dara  could help but be impressed by the display put on by the new leaders. In the distance he could just make out the King and Prime Speaker on a platform above the crowd. He was in the middle of the deafening crowd but not even that could cover the sound of hundreds of feet stamping in time and the raw power of the diesel engines roaring past. As one gigantic organism the crown around him ducked as the turret of the nearby tank rotated over their head, but he was not there to watch the festivities. He discreetly put down his suitcase and walked away as he knew several others were doing. They were the Army for the Righteous Ruler and they were fighting to get Vrangr Finiarel into power as the rightful descendant of the late King Hefthyn the third. The current rulers removed him from power to form the democracy Acle now has.
As He walked away he smelt the strong fumes coming off the various vehicles and it put thoughts of the horror people would now have to withstand into his head but he knew they would thank him when Vrangr Finiarel gets into power.
He walked around the corner to his car and opened the boot with a clunk and removed a another suit case which he would be needing in a few minutes. He watched his watch slowly moving towards the one o'clock mark. He could see the second hand moving round in circles for what seemed like and eternity before, Bang! The twenty suitcases along the road went off sending hundreds of nails into the crowd. As expected the crowd started running down the side streets which is when he armed the sub-machine gun and fired an entire magazine into the oncoming crowd before jumping in and running too. All their escape routes were carefully planned as along other roads he knew cars were now flying into the crowds and exploding near any military personnel they could get near. All he could see around him were people in utter chaos and their screams represented the same feelings. Into the crowd he disappeared like a needle into a haystack.
