There was a small wooden level where some high ranked delfians stepped in.
"Hello everyone. You are the first IPOP to arrive here. Welcome to New Delfos, welcome to Plorisk"
*A deadly silence was in the air, only birds and wind could be heard.*
"I know what you are thinking, you came all the way from your homes, put into old cans heading here, to find what Plorisk is, and then you meet this shit-hole."
*Some laughter*
"Well, this is your shit-hole, and you will have to live with it for the next few months. The idea...and the lack of budget, is that we raise our own camps, helping building the rest of the central camp, with wooden barracks. This isn't work, this is exercise! You need to feel responsible for the land your are stepping on. But don't worry, we won't start today. Allot of other troops are coming, I heard the Loyan are marching here from the Capital, that's nearly 500 kilometers, aren't they crasy? But they are fit! And you will watch them arrive and nurse them if necessary!
Now to business: Our volunteers already started unloading your stuff from the train, direct all officers to those Barracks over there to discuss where we need your men, and before going issue them an order to unload everything from the train. There's supplies on the back of the train as well. Understood? Alright lets start."

The train got empty in minutes. The officers came from the assembly in the barracks and transmitted the orders:
"Everyone, listen up. We will use our own vehicles and this few trucks they supplied us to move all Weapon crates to that lock-up. All rations to those barracks up there and all the rest in those near the forest. After that we need to get every vehicle under those camouflaged roofs."
"What about our stuff? When will we rest?" said one in the ranks.
"They said not to worry, leave your stuff in the ground."
"You mean in the dirt?"
"Whatever, just do it."

A Delfian high ranked officer walked near the group:
"All officers to the assembling barracks after completing this task, alright?"

The old train whistled good bye and parted. The Delfian officers were worried with the morale.
"They are volunteers, they are supposed to take anything, we had to take it, didn't we?"
"Well yes, but look at them, they came south by ship, i bet it wasn't that big and comfy...and then those awful old trains and that awful old railway, i bet they couldn't sleep with all the bumps."
"True, but it's good, a test of honor to what they volunteered for. And they don't need to sleep, they practically have the same Time Zone that we do."
"Can be, but it's colder..."
"Colder today! Well, they say rain is expected tomorrow, hahaha, want better test than the mother nature ones? Oh poor Loyan guys, They will be near Navirsk when the rain comes."
"Oh well, Glad we asked the White Heart to come here and to assist the marching Loyan. When will our other half come?"
"I don't know for sure, they are marching too but from Kujsk, they came in CGV from Portimão...they were supposed to come in railway, but the responsible officers heard about the Loyan and thought it was a good idea."
"Fine, let me check if the Collosies already finished the task."

The ships filled the docks in the harbor in New Delfos. Lieutenant General Richards was leaving his ship. He was dressed in the new Prussian blue of the Canadian Army. The enlisted men still were waiting to recieve their blue uniforms, but right now they were dressed in their red uniforms. Only officers were dressed in Prussian blue. He was followed by all the men of his staff. General Richards went to the intercome to address his men. "Alright men, this is Lieutenent General Thomas Richards. I have an important announcement. We have arrived in New Delfos and unfortunatly, we will npt be taking the trains because they don't have enough to carry the Second Imperial Troopers Corps to Plorisk. We must march there. The infantry will go ahead in trucks that we have provided, followed by the cavalry. This is alot of equipment so we must arrive in tip top shape. So ready yourselves. We leave in one hour. The Loyanese army is ahead of us. they are marching while we came prepared. So let's see if we can catch up with them, shall we?"

The Canadian Army disembarked from their ships and prepared to leave. General Richards watched as his staff preapred a truck just for the command group. The Corps was ready in less than an hour. He smiled. They would do grand. "Alright, let's move out." The mass of Canadian soldiers moved out and headed to Polrisk.

"tell me again how we convinced Jihn to let us use his cruise ship?" said one younger woman to a middle aged man.

"well really it was all about persuading him that his assistance would help to keep blood from the  roots of the Avana'ash. this operation is very important and we just needed to make him understand that."

"makes for a rather comfortable trip though dousn't it? so how much longer do we have?"

"well according to the captain it'll only be another week before we make it to port. light bless him, he is a fine man."

"indeed it was good that we got as many people as we did to sign up for this."

" yea i would say so, not many Bohemians can stomach being part of anything to do with the ,military but i guess thats why the numbers are so low compared to what the other countries are sending."

<ooc>Ummm Delfos... I don't know if you know this or not, but my 6,000 soldiers aren't volunteers. Well, that is unless you count signing up for the army as volunteering. Either way, you certainly didn't help the morale problem any ;)

Dude, seriously... Between this and Tandem, my military looks like a black hole that sucks morale out of the soldiers or something. :P

Also, my guys didn't know that they were going to be part of an IPOP force either.</ooc>

Minoa and Trikoupis were in about the middle of the pack. That's probably the best place to be. The weather here was the opposite of what Colloseans are used to; here it's dry and cold, in Collosea it's generally humid and warm.

Quote from: Delfian Officer
"Hello everyone. You are the first IPOP to arrive here. Welcome to...
"IPOP?" Minoa queried quietly.

"International Peace Organization Peacekeepers." Trikoupis answered.

"Oh."

Quote from: Delfian Officer
"Our volunteers already started unloading your stuff from the train..."
"Their volunteers? Do you think he means..."

"Not necessarily" Trikoupis could already tell where Minoa was about to go. "He just said 'volunteers.' Maybe he means some of the Delfian soldiers volunteered to help unload the train."

After the speech, Minoa and Trikoupis immediately went to work loading crates onto CUCV's and driving them to the barracks. There would be no rest for the weary, that's for sure.

While this was going on, Konstantinos was already at the assembly barracks waiting for everyone else to arrive.

The massive C-17 touched down on the runway of the Delfian airport.
The plane slowed down and rolled of the tarmac following a car to it’s Parking position.
Clamshell doors opened and a ramp was lowered to the ground. A man in uniform stepped out.
“Fall out and line up” he yelled back at the cavernous hold of the plane.
Over a hundred soldiers followed his command and within 3 minutes the aircraft was empty. The men formed a formation on the tarmac.
“Fall in marching order” the officer said with a booming voice. Then – while his men shuffled into position - he turned around to look for a Delfian officer in charge.

As he found one man in uniform he walked up to him and saluted.
“Captain Sokal. 1st Company 1st Parachute Regiment. Terrangar. Reporting” he said. “I request information about our designation.”

Angel surveyed the camp.  It reminded her of the camp where she'd received her training in the woods near Sjoftich.  Angel had heard that the Loyanese soldiers would be marching to the camp, and the Canadians would be moving to the camp as a mechanized infantry column, thus dispelling any hope Angel had had of making this a covert operation.  I suppose, technically, it never was a covert operation officially, but given that there's only so many warzones in the world and only one of them would draw this kind of attention from the IPO.  Of course, we could try and convince everyone that this is a training operation and, like Tempest said, I don't have any proof that this isn't a training operation.  But I don't think Daichi would send off all three Soldiers X and the Juggernaut Battallion for a training operation, not with the warlords on the Pirate Isles making threats.  Are we running this operation under the assumption that the target nation knows what we're doing, or under the assumption that the target nation is stupid?

ooc: this is getting out of hand, alright, don't bring military airplanes to my capital for Christ sake, make a plan with me and i will tell you where to land. Another thing is the personnel. 6 thousand max! I got 4 thousand on my own. Why do you want to bring 6 thousand all together? Vehicles are fine, but artillery? Armored vehicles only please, no tanks, no artillery, no fighter-jets, no ultra-mech-military-robots. Excepting Pachaman that already landed and have to make the same way the Loyan should have done, get a booked CGV line to Sbbasburg and get the same old railway to Plorisk. I'll make a quick map soon. The Loyan only landed in my capital because is the only southern airport with capacity for the A380. Any other plane land in Sbbasburg, or if it's military, land in Kujsk. Plorisk is a deep country side, besides some farms and ranches some kilometers away from Plorisk, Plorisk is just a landmark, a big hill with a natural fountain.
This is a Peace Force, not an invasion force! Keep it cool.
Our forces are a bunch of volunteers, i thought they were supposed to be, but i guess it's fine to have professionals.

OOC: Sorry about the hiatus.
I forgot to tell you I wanted to land in Sbbasburg. Besides these are only 110 men of the first company.
If you permit I will land with the other C-17 at a military base of yours.
It will take another week for the ground troops (6,588 men) and their equipment.
These will be  6 Fuchs APC and 12 Fennek recon vehicles.
That is all I can handle at the moment with the meager transport capacity's I have.
My men are volunteers, but they are also professionals.

ooc: Jumping on ahead

Day 5 of March

Lt. Wilshan was leading his unit today at front, while the commander was at the rear checking up on the laggers. The sky was a blanket of gray clouds, dispelling the sunlight and setting in a breezy cool.

"Nice weather today, aye boys?" he remarks as he checks his GPS.

"Very, better than yesterday's blazing sun!" said a private behind him.

"So Lieutenant? What news on the rest of our boys and stuff? D and E Division should be off the planes today right? Are they marching too?"

"No, they get the disgrace of riding on the CGV..."

Privates broke into laughter.

"Our gear should be arriving with the freight planes, so you'll all get your stuff once we get to the assembly ground." Lt. Wilshan continued.

"So I can drop this 40 pound weight worth of wrenches once we get there?"

"Yes, and trade it for 42 pounds of ammo and rations!" the lieutenant replied. Laughter once again.

"Huh? Sir, I think it's raining." Sure enough, water droplets began to fall from the sky, hitting men and pavement.

"Alright boys, you know the drill!" The entire formation stopped, and officer order their men to put on the waterproof jacket hanging from a strap on their field backpack. Once everyone had their rain hood over their head, the formation continue their never-ending march through the pouring rain.

Back home, they would had did the march half naked in the rain to keep their clothes dry and their body cool. But, Loyan was a hell lot warmer than Delfos, and the Loyanese weren't use to this cooler climate. Twenty years ago, most of them would had went to Saletsia for "cold-training"; but since relations died with that country, that opportunity to build resistance was gone. No doubt they will fare the worst fin the cold of Canada, even with their tough physique and training.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Flight LY2 to Delta Fox, Flight LY2 flying over your position..."

Three IL-76s, the old workhorses of the LAA, flying over the assembly ground. A few minutes pass before the local air control keys them in and permits them to drop their load. The bay doors open, and the cargo of IMP-1s and weapons are dropped off into the air. Moments later, the envelope of parachutes flare up and the cargo floats gently down onto the spot, guided by their GPS parachute systems. Afterward, ten DI agents jump from the same planes and land roughly near the cargo that they were in charge of protecting until the army boys arrive.

The Delfian officer told the Captain that a transport by train had been arranged and that he should take his men there.
he showed them the boarding station on a map.
“Understood. Thank you” the Captain said turning toward his men and ordered them  “Move out. In marching order”
Without a word the soldiers started to march behind their officer towards the exit gate of the airport at Kjusk.
The Terrangan soldiers saluted as they marched by the Delfian officer.
As soon as they had left the facility the Captain yelled “Fall in fast march”.
The soldiers began to run with a trotting motion until they reached the station.
There another officer greeted them and helped them board.

Thomas was at the front of the army as they moved up the roads. The rain came down heavy, but his men had come prepared and put on their raincoats and continued on. The men in the trucks were ok and stayed warm, but the cavalrymen had to deal with the rain. They didn't complain though. The driver looked back at the general. "Sir, we have people on the roads just ahead of us."

"Tell them to get out of the way, we are here to do something important, not yell at civilians."

"Sir, they aren't civilians."

"What?"

"Look, sir."

The trucks stopped and General Richards jumped out of the truck and looked in front of him. He smiled. "Hey men, we did catch up with the Loyanese!" The men cheered. In front of them were the Loyanese who had been marching for hundreds of kilomenters. These are soldiers. The Loyanese looked at the Canadian soldiers getting out of trucks to look at their comrades, and the cavalry who looked from the backs of their horses. General Richards walked up and yalled out. "Who is in charge here? I am Lieutenant General Thomas Richards of the Greater Canadian Empire. I need to speak to the commander in charge."

Plorisk camp was getting filled. Thousands of tents were already opened, and Collosean troops were working hard.
"The train is arriving."
"Who's coming?"
"More supplies and Terrangar guys."
"Alright, let me remember the usual speech."
"Try not to shock them."

The train arrived half a minute later. Allot of troops were coming out. The Delfian officer welcomed them in their manner and told the shit-hole story.
"Now, terrangarian officers, tell your men to unload the train and get ready for the exercises."

--------

"YOU BASTARDS!" , Delfian troops were simulating a violent protest against the Collosean Peace Forces.
Collosean officer: "Men! Remember what we have learned, no shooting, no gas, no nothing, just don't let them break the defensive perimeter."
Rocks came from the skies.
"Rocks, watch up!" Many of them ran to the back of the NDRA APC.
"Men, they turned to be aggressive, lets intimidate them!"
The troopers got in the line again and shielded themselves.
BANG BANG BANG, some shots to the air.
"Get that guy, he's the one with the rocks!"
They ran to the delfian with the rocks and jumped on him. Brought him arrested to the APC while trying to disperse the rest.
"Alright, lets move forward."
The APC followed the collosean lead that marched towards the crowd, it was dispersed in few minutes. Captain Ramahejad arrived in a NDRA jeep and saluted the Collosean officer.
"Well done, now you will have to remain here for Defense. Alright? Don't let any armed forces pass, blockade every access. It is imperative that they do not cross this North-South line, here in the map. Understood?"
"Yes sir. How much time do we have to hold it?"
"I don't know for sure, but you will have to face an invasion attempt from the north, remember, no shooting unless they shoot at you. You are responsible for this area here, you don't have to cross this area, just make sure no northern armed force tries to cross to south."
"Alright."
"Oh, here's some supplies, I'm taking this arrested man to justice..." The delfian troops unloaded a truck to the ground and got themselves into the truck again. "Well, see you, take care of this area, it is vital!"
...and left...

Captain Skoal greeted the delfian officer.
Then he turned towards his men and ordered them."Get your asses in motion. Unload the supplies. First platoon 1st section secure the perimeter, 2nd  sections put up the tents over there. As soon as you are finished assist in unloading."
The soldiers of 1st platoon surrounded the train in a half circle towards the open terrain away from the camp going down in a crouching position and reading their rifles.
Behind him the soldiers started to unload while the  section put up thier tents in record time. As they were finished the relieved the section by assisting in unloading.
Those in turn set up their tents. Within 10 minutes the order was completed.
"The rest of you set up camp. 1st company 1st  section take up guard positions."
Then he turned towards the Delfian "At your orders".
