It was a cloudy morning and when Zeriev walked out of his Coffee shop he felt the cold breeze brush through his hair. He noticed down the street was one of his regular customers, a college student from the city's national university. He had no idea what she did in college but she bought the same .80 Pei Double Navi coffee with a Zuavka Muffin. Occasionally she would come by later and get a few drinks, get a Zuavka. He identified that as her "bad days". He had no idea what her name was, she might of told him once but he certainly knew she knew his. She came up to the shop with her usual 4 coins. four fifth Pei's. She was one of the few customers that always used coins instead of bills. She went to Zeriev, giving him a kiss on each cheek, "Greetings Zeri and good morning."

Zeri smiled, "It already looks like it's the afternoon, no?"

She gave a good look at the sky, "Yeah, I miss the early months. I like it when it's night most of the day."

Zeri opened the door for her as she walked, "Yeah, so how is one of my devoted customers this day so far? You came yesterday night. A few too many drinks that usual."

She put her bag down with her computer inside and remarked, "Men.."

He put the muffin and coffee on the counter and it was exchanged for the four coins. He replied to her as she walked off, "Yeah, we're the worst." She then turned back to give him a warm grin. The Dire returned to his normal activities as more and more customers came in. As he was filling the coffee the student was packing up and went back to Zeriev as they exchanged kisses on the cheek and Zeriev said the usual, "Don't kill the teachers"

Zeriev then returned to counter and as the breakfast hours went away nobody was in the shop and he was cleaning it up and counting money. Just then he got some other customers coming in. Wearing mostly black and dark colored robes. They removed their Ushankas and said, "Good afternoon Dire, We're looking for a good muffin."

"What sort of Muffin?"

"A muffin with Almonds Dire."

"I don't think I have Almonds, but come in the back I'll show you all that we have." As they gathered in the kitchen area they went past the muffins and Zeriev opened the door to the Water Heater. He reached back and flipped a mechanism, suddenly a portion of the wall started to open up and the men walked in. Inside were various fire arms of Ozian creation, "Buy four I-19s and you get a fifth one free today."

"I will give word to our boss of your generosity, the Mafia has served you well hasn't it?"

He laughed, "Hey, I just buy their goods and I just sell them."

"Heh, well now for some business shall we? We're going to buy 4 I-19s to get that fifth one free, 5,000 rounds of ammunition, and I think I'll buy three PP-6s with 300 shells."

"Stocking up for a big fight eh?"

He plainly said, "You could say that."

Zeriev said, "Have your boys send the car to the alley way. Don't want to scare some people on the street."

He nodded as Zeriev gathered all the things he needed with the boxes of ammunition. He added a few boxes for good will. When he came back he asked, "How Much?"

"2,000 Pei."

He smiled, "I'll feel like I'm cheating you Zeri, my boss gave me 5,000 pei to buy all this, here take 5,000 and I'll buy double."

Zeriev said, "Pleasure doing business with you."

The gang suppliers loaded up their cars with the ammunition and guns and soon took off. Zeriev did a check on all that he had and would order some more "coffee beans" from the Mafia.

He returned to his shop to continue counting the cash.

Frelav walked through the front door and saw Zeriev counting his cash.

"Hey. Can i get the normal?"

Frelav got his coffee and walked out the door. It was time for him to go into the sweatshop. He arrived 5 minutes late, but he went to work and his boss didnt notice him late. Which was odd, becasue he was different from the other Workers. His dad was Ozian. but, he didn't care. He begin to assemble some Car, and waited for his 5 hour shift to end.

Karpov had just gained consciousness he checked his clock and realized he had overslept by a few hours. He wondered why his head was throbbing until he looked at himself in the mirror. Staring back at him was the posterboy for hangovers. Karpov folded his clothing neatly and then jumped into the shower to try and relieve a bit of the pressure. he tried to remember the nights events...

well i remember coming back from a meeting.... then some of the regulars downstairs asked me to play some music.... they were so insistant....this definitely feels allot better I'll have to thank the Dire for helping to fix the hot water.... i played a few tunes and then had a drink.... then those girls in the corner kept on buying me rounds..... did i sleep with someone?...last thing i remember was that girl with the pretty smile her friends headed to the restroom and i had another shot.....

...he stepped out of the shower and checked his naked body in the mirror. there were large scratchmarks going down his back. his headache was making it difficult to think but he was able to think of the only possible reason for there to be scratchmarks after a night of drinking.

he went to his room and found himself a plain outfit that he liked, it was a present from the mechanics wife. he pulled on his ushenka and armed himself. he then grabbed a large sum of cash and headed down to grab a cup of coffee. he had about two hours until he had to go play at a divebar in a bad area of town. he turned to the Dire and said,

"Greetings Dire i hope your day is full of pleasent exchanges that are benefiting you. I would like to purchase the usual coffee and small cigars. perhaps i will have something for breakfast today, what is good today Dire?"

"Hey guys, whats up?"

He knew that he had only a few hours until he had to go to a street fight, so he decided to talk to these guys.

Zeriev barked at Frelav, "You owe me rent, give it to me before I kick you out of my building."

"Whoa, chill man. i have the money in my room, let me go get it."

Frelav ran up to his room. He looked around, and then ran to a small closet and grabed a few hundereds dollars. He ran down stairs to the coffe shop and handed over the cash.

"sorry it was a bit late."

He looked at the clock.  He had half a hour. He ran up to his room, and got his weapons. He would need them. He stuffed them in his messenger bag and ran out the door. He ran down the street and turned into a alley. He climbed over a fence, and saw the rest of his gang. He was fighting the rival gang for control of this alley. The Gang Frelav is part of so far has turf in the working section, and is growing larger. He got out his Sawed-off shotgun and loaded it. The Gang walked down the alley and saw the rival gang selling some drugs. Frleav's gang opened fire on the rival gang, killing almost all of them. The remainders opened fire and a gun battle came about. Shots were flying ever where, and Frelav got nicked in the shoulder. He fired the rest of his shot, and crouched down. He put the shotgun back in his back, and got out his SMG. He opened fireed and killed some more gangsters. The rivial gang ran, and the alley was Frelavs gang turf now. He ripeed up a shirt, and bandaged his sholder. He ran back to his apartment and went into the coffe shop. He forgot that he still had his SMG

Crap...

Natasha walked through the streets slowly, her day was going rather uneventfully. A cool, brisk wind brushed against her face, but her trench coat kept her seemingly frail body warm. She had been reassigned to a new district, and this was her first patrol. Everything was going quite well, despite the area of town being a bit worn down.

The sky was cloudy and bleak, the buildings looked worn and depressed, and the streets were littered with newspapers days, even weeks old. Natasha didn't bother to read them, greeting an older couple of Ozian's with a polite smile. They smiled back before hobbling down a small alley way, and Natasha listened to the sound of her boots slapping concrete. Natasha rather enjoyed patrolling on foot, she often found new, small shops with interesting trinkets and clothing. The streets were rather uncrowded today, so she let her eyes wander over a few crude drawing on the brick wall depicting various political and religious slogans.

Natasha quickly stepped out of the way of a rapidly opening glass door which nearly smacked her soundly. A man dressed in dark grey overcoat wasn't watching where he was going, focused intently on not spilling his tea.

"Hello, sir. Good day?" she smiled.

The man seemed startled to see Natasha standing before him, his eyes wandering over her before looking into her eyes. He smiled uneasily and nodded, "Yes, it's a good day. I'm in a bit of a hurry, so sorry I'll be careful where I go."

"It's alright," she nodded, holding the door open for him as he scuttled away. The sign above the door read 'Repaski'vavi'. Ah, I could use a bit of ginseng tea. Wouldn't hurt to get friendly with a few locals either.

She entered the small shop, it was rather cozy. She looked at a sign which read 'Rooms For Rent. Ask shop owner for details.' She saw a man counting money patiently while another appeared to be ordering food. Her boots echoed through the room as she stepped towards the counter, stopping a foot behind the man. Her police uniform had already been noticed and dismissed by several other customers, as well as the shop owner who was keeping an eye on her. But the man she stepped behind smelled of alcohol and his overcoat appeared to be carrying more than one weapon. She sighed, trying to remember what law exactly the man was violating by concealing more than one weapon. She dismissed the matter, not wanting to cause a scene in this peaceful shop.

She flashed a smile to the owner, wordlessly informing him that she had a question.

While counting his money in the afternoon he noticed a shadow pass on his hands, he stumbled as he saw the dreaded green Police coat. His hands trembled as he dropped the bills in his hands. He caught himself and padded his chest, "Oh my you scared me there, how erm... may I help you?"

"Oh, I'm new to this district. I'm Kriev'sapri Dereski," Natasha spoke with a smile, ignoring the other man before her and pointing to the sign. "I see you have rooms for rent, how much are they?"

Zeriev was relieved that she was there for that reason. He warmly smiled, "Follow me, we'll do business." He picked up the cash and returned it to the register and locked it. He waved his hands as he lead her to the kitchen door for the tea shop. Inside, at the opposite wall was a desk and a chair with a simple laptop computer on top of it. He rolled the office chair to her and said, "Have a seat and make yourself comfortable." He then propped himself on the table, "We have Vacancy and the best room is still open. That room is 400 Pei a month, we also have one for 300 Pei a Month. Except I might have a deal for you..."

Natasha sat down and looked at the man curiously. "A deal you say?" she leaned against the chair ignoring the rattle of her rifle as she shifted around. "What kind of deal?" Natasha noticed her boots were scuffed as she crossed her legs and she frowned. She'd have to buff that out tonight.

He warmly smiled as he walked to the water heater door and flicked the same mechanism to open the secret passage way. Inside you could see the gun store. He then pushed the wall in to restart the mechanism and shut the heater door again. He then replied back, "Krie'sapri... You should understand that I'm an Arms dealer, if you keep mum about my storeage, I'll let you have the best room for only 100 Pei... Though you don't have to ignore the rest of the customer's illegal activities. I'm just striking a deal with you here. you get your extra 300 Pei a month to say... buy a dress, go out for dinners, buy a computer, etc."

She paused momentarily, considering the number of guns she had seen. She considered drawing her rifle, arresting the Dire right here. But she also considered the deal he offered, and the statistics of Arms Dealing. Compared to the number of arms dealers in St. Oz City, arresting this man now would do little to keep guns off the streets and would only earn her a bad reputation. That wasn't the sort of first impression she wanted to give her new district.

She smiled cautiously to the shop owner, "I believe we may have an understanding." Natasha looked to the secret doorway and then back to the Dire, "might I add your walls have a lovely color."
