Meeting at the Imperial Palace
« on: October 25, 2007, 10:29:08 PM »
After receiving an agreement letter from the Imperial Palace, the delfian diplomats got into the Birkov Fortress to fly to Xyra'li, Xyrael's capital. President Delfos and Vice-President Kein Swotten were there, together with the recently arrived Ipod, Yuri Papovish, the master of delfian diplomacy for the past years.
In the airplane there was allot of chat between them, it was good to see all three together, since Delfos told Yuri to give up his Minister of Foreign Affairs campaign to get exclusive place in foreign diplomacy, Yuri automatically accepted. The Boyen Communist Party didn't like their comrade's decision, but it was for a common good, and the Delfo Socialist Party knew what they were doing.

As soon they arrived the capital, they were received by a Limousin, it was a really comfy Xyraeli version of the Yattalok Phantom.
"Way to go, they even produce new versions around here."
The limo smoothly took them to a shuttle-boat, everything was great and the capital seemed to live for the waters. They soon reached the Imperial Palace...

The limo quickly carried them from the airport to a shuttleboat, which took them to the center of the heavily guarded Palace. Royal Bodyguards snapped to attention at the arrival of the Delfian personnel. A man dressed in a spotless white suit with countless ribbons and medals bowed humbly before the three men.

"Follow me, the Emperor is awaiting your arrival. He does not wish to delay this conference with meaningless ceremony."

Yet still, as the men were led to the room, a plethora of servants busied themselves throughout the palace while heavily armed guards dressed in elaborate gear guarded their passage through the twisting halls of the castle. A large set of sturdy oak doors opened to reveal a long, low table and several soft pillows. The Emperor sat in his royal attire, nodding to the men as the entered.

"The Emperor asks that you sit," the servant bowed as the Emperor nodded towards the guests. The servant quickly moved to his side, but the Emperor waved his hand, dismissing the man. He left quickly, never turning his back to his Emperor as he left the room.

"You come to my land with business," the Emperor spoke with a heavy accent, obviously having learned Inglish as a mere formality. "Please, discuss with me your thoughts."
I have become, again and again.

President Delfos: "I'm glad your highness is so direct, let me first thank you your kindness to invite us all here, we are amased with the beauty of your capital and palace. Now to business, we have some topics in mind to discuss, and i think we should begin with the International Peace Organization issues."

Yuri made a subtle jest to Delfos, like asking permission to carry on.
Yuri: "We are glad that the Xyraeli delegate could join us in the discussion of your colonies. But we have various questions about the politic aspect of this conflicts of interests. Your highness, i would like to propose that you tell us your opinions on the matter of the Gelibolu Independence. Why do they want into be independent? Does it harm your sovereignty? What is the population's voice about it? These are questions that concern both our national government and myself as IPO delegate, and will help in our judgment of the independence of Gelibolu."
