Before you got here Llanydern, that part of Myroria was controlled by Ryazania (and technically still is) in their United Imperium (there is a thread somewhere on it), but Ryaz gave that nation up to play Astaporia, and some people jumped the gun on taking it over and he nuked everyone. How much of this is actually RP canon I'm unsure of (I almost wrote a news story about nuclear fall out in Taijitu, but everyone else seemed to be ignoring it at the time), but I know Varkour referenced it in a thread.
