Insurgency
« on: December 09, 2007, 06:33:36 PM »
It was a crisp morning in Republic of Valhene, not officially recognized by many of its own people, and the international community. Lies and fabrications had be spread through out its government and news broadcasting stations. Many citizens were fed up with how everything was being run, the occupation, the 'people's' government. Many were in the Dysanii Military and Police Force before they were dissolved at the end of the war.

The Rebels had taken up positions on flanking sides of a rural road. It was forested on both sides. Their job was to ambush a Valideen supply convoy. Slowly but surly they got into supreme positions, placing machine guns and anti-tank missiles on both sides.

The common sound of a diesel engine could be heard around the bend. Soon the Valideen army convoy was nearly with in the killing zone. Whispering the man leading the attack looked over and said, "Wait for my signal." He stood up and fired a shoulder launched anti-armour rocket at the lead vehicle. Soon both sides of the road had erupted in fire, all aiming down on the Valideens.

It only took ten minutes, but every vehicle but one was destroyed. A single LAV-III had survived, however its armaments were out of commission when a rocked streaked by detonating on the barrel. Everyone slowely made their way down the hill. The leader walked towards the LAV. the commander opened the hatch with his hands up, as he was boxed in by burning vehicles on both sides. "Soldier!" yelled the rebels leader. "Tell your commander that we are the people. We are their voice. We will fight you and those people who say are our government. We will win this fight. Tell them we are Dysanii, first and formost. We fight for the will of Dysanii. and no one will place their voice in our collective mouths. You are free to leave. But tell them, we are here to stay."

With is hands up Sergeant Kyle Pellis listened to what the insurgent leader had to say. He then dove back into the LAV puttened up the hatch and yelled at the drive to punch it. It ramed into the wreckage of a burned out G-Wagon infront of it, then it backed into another LAV that was still on fire. Then shot forward passing all the vehicles in the convoy at maximum speed.

Later at the FOB, "So, they let you live eh?"

"Yes sir,"

"But why?"

"They wanted me to convey that message, sir,"
