Natasha blushed deeply, pulling her trenchcoat closer around her body. He better forget about that... she thought. She turned to this Karpov, her face still flushed a deep red, and smiled shyly. "Yes, I could use a drink. Something sweet." She looked at his smile, it seemed crooked. At least it wasn't forced, or she thought. Her mind seemed to wander momentarily, she wondered if this man was thinking anything which involved her taking off clothes. As long as he doesn't try anything. It'd be sad to have one less flatmate. Zeriev might be upset and charge me more.

The landlord laughed a bit more and said, "I shouldn't prod you about that occasion, I won't bring it up again. Anyway, I've got many things that are sweet, you two want my homemade Zuavka muffins? I'm out of coffee today though, I'll have to go buy some more beans, we've been low this year since Nerdic got the boot, but I have plenty of tea straight from Mor'os."

"Ah, yes I'd love some tea. And Zuavka muffins sound delicious, I do enjoy sweets. It's too bad imported candies are hard to come by." Natasha frowned before turning back to Karpov. "I'll sit with you as long as you don't mind the company of an officer," she smiled back to him. "And don't worry, I don't shoot below the belt... often," Natasha joked shyly, she had been in police training since she was two, but she still tried to keep her social skills alive.

Karpov pulled out a large wad of money and handed it to the Dire. "for what we want and i like to talk later." he turned to the woman officer gesturing her to one of his favorite seats. he pulled out the chair for her and then seated himself. he looked into her eyes with a calculating stare.

"so you are new? i would like to know your name as i buy you tea and muffin. also would like to know if you know anything about what with that bar that exploded? see barman at this bar was old chum of mine. i believe he was murdered and i wish to know why someone would have him killed he was only simple barman no?"

Karpov sipped at what was appearently the last cup of coffee. he awaited her response stoicly.
