Carlos: "That will be great, thank you. With war and all, isn't it hard to find products? I mean, I don't see much of governmental or imperial help..."

"I'm down to my second-to-last box," said Asil, shaking his head ruefully.  "This kahfe is Ozian; we can't grow it here ourselves, and it's damn expensive even in good times.  I couldn't find anybody selling it since they sealed the border, two weeks ago."

"Sounds bad, this Xyraeli are making the situation worse...or is it the Rebels?"
With clear interest on the subject, like asking indirectly which side he was on. Carlos hoped Asil wouldn't think he worked for the Xyraeli and was there to track down rebel groups, on the contrary...but how could he communicate that? Quickly added...
"I heard this rebels were fighting for rights and independence...maybe the Xyraeli aren't helping at all, it sounds really bad from outside, in New Delfos allot people say the Xyraeli enslaves the Gallipoli proletariat and population while the government tries to pass the message Xyrael owns Gelibolu by divine right..."
*shaking his head ruefully, trying to sound like Asil*

OOC: that is WAY WAY WAY too obvious.  Here, let me save your neck. :trout:

IC: Asil hadn't understood the second part of the question.  There was something in there about Xyraelis, and workers, but the rest of the sentence was muddled gibberish, unintelligible even to a drunk on the street.  But the first sentence had been clear enough.  Hoping it would suffice, Asil answered the first question with one of his own, adopting a defensive tone as he did so.  "The rebels have the power to close the border?  Holed up in their one city?"

It was probably too much to hope for that Carlos would understand the rhetorical nature of this question, and the subtext.  So Asil added "No, it is not the rebels who have caused this trouble."

"Well, yes, I figured so. What I cannot understand is why this rebels fight against the empire. I understand the empire is forcing this people and they had enough, but why do they fight back? Aren't there other ways?"
Trying to force an enraging argument from Asil's mind against the empire would probably be too much, Carlos wanted to hear Asil saying what was happening in Tekirdag, he really wanted to go there, maybe he would...

ooc: I thought he was underage! (you know what i mean) Simple black and white obvious would do the trick...sorry.
