Continued from this thread...

...

"Incoming!"

"All hands, brace for impact," Red Chanson, captain of the MSS Tenokee submarine said.

Explosions rocked the submarine from all sides.

"Damage report!" Chanson yelled.

"Exploded off our port, the lower decks are flooding."

"Seal them," Chanson screamed. "We press the fuck on!"

"Sir, the Redwood took a direct hit and is sunk; the West Jazzville and Manzano are dead in the water."

Chanson paused to think, and calmed down.

"Ok, tell the West Jazzville and Manzano to send recovery teams and salvage what they can from the Redwood, look for survivors too. But order the rest of the Subcorps to press on, we still have a significant numbers advantage on them."

"Fire!" Wes Drake, captain of the MSS Jazzo said, as the massive cannons on the deck fired.

"Sir, the pirate fleet is at the limits of our range."

"Ok, continue firing until they are out of range. Order the rest of the fleet to break formation and press ahead as fast as possible. The Subcorps won't be able to last out there forever, despite how cocky those sons of bitches are. Tell the Nashville to stay back and protect our weak side, and tell Chanson to send a God damned submarine back, I feel defenseless. How's our accuracy?"

"About 10%."

Drake shook his head. You can build a new battleship, but you'll never fix the flaws of the design.

"Idovk locked and in range."

"Fire one and two," Chanson said.

"Torpedos away," the gunner said.

"Sir, Captain Drake is requesting we send a sub back to protect the Jazzo," the Comm officer said. "He is sending the rest of the 9th fleet at full to support us."

"If they can catch up to us," Chanson mumbled to himself.

"Ok," Chanson said. "Order the Jefferson back. But tell Drake we are pressing on, we can take these bastards."

"Yes sir," the Comm officer responded.

There was a moment of eerie silence as they watched the torpedos; then they heard an explosion close enough that they could feel the ripples from it.

"What the hell was that?"

The Comm officer listened.

"Shit. The New Decartes just hit a mine; it's going down."

"Fuck, ALL STOP! Order the Subcorps all stop. Guess we have to wait for that damn 9th fleet after all....Ok, let's get some air."

Ambassador David Escudero arrived at the Mercantilist States Embassy in St. Oz. He lit up a Diamond Tobacco cigar and looked at the building.

How did I get stuck with this assignment, it is so damn cold here.

Message to Ambassador David Escudero

Come to Capitole Res'shev Building, Don't bring any weapons, report to front, You will be searched for any sort of weapons by Lanaepiro. The Lanaepiro will Escort you down to the main hallway, do not be alarmed by their weapons for they only shoot those who do have a weapon. There you will meet with the whole Res'shev about your nation's issue, We have the whole day devoted to speaking and coming to terms of whatever your nation wants.

OOC: Just RP him getting checked and standing before the door which leads to the room where he will meet the Res'shev.

David Escudero reread the message from the Res'Shev as he got out of his car and walked up to the Capitole Building.

Those Ozians are quick, he had only mentioned in passing that he wanted to meet with them when he had arrived in the country. Better watch what I say around whom in the future...

He didn't know why Decartes wanted him to meet with them, with the amount of rampant corruption and black market going on this country, he thought it was unlikely they were going to do anything. But the order was from Washington directly.

As he and his two aides entered the Capitole Res-shev Building, they were checked; roughly, by the Lanaepiro.

Escudero decided it'd be better if he just took it and kept his mouth shut.

This is like being interrogated, he thought to himself as they led them down a windowless hall.

Josh Dewey, captain of captain of the MSS Kansas, stood on the deck of the Essex class carrier smoking an Apple Tobacco cigar and looking at the submarines West Jazzville and Manzano which has surfaced and were making repairs. The rest of the 4th Subcorps was just ahead.

"How goes it?" he yelled to the repair crews on deck as he waved.

They waved back and yelled something he couldn't make out.

Dewey had already dispatched auxiliary ships to clear out the mines the Ozian cruisers had left and their jets had just returned from Ft. Jena were still rearming and refueling. Now all he could do was wait; they were losing valuable time and that fleet was probably way ahead of them by now.

"Sir, the M-16's are ready to go," his aide said.

"Excellent," Dewey said as he took a puff of his cigar. "Launch at your discretion."

The armed men opened the large door, decorated and carved on every inch of it. It had displayed the story of the Innkeeper and the Guest, a classic Fairy Tale of Ozia. They entered the large room. Almost too large for what the Res'shev was. The ceiling was high and was painted, hanging on the columns were fine silk cloths streaming down to the marble base. At which it touched a very polished wood. The guards told him to remove his shoes before he stepped onto the wooden floor. The Ozian Guards had already slipped out of their shoes when he didn't notice. The Ozian guards walked across the wood and bowed to the Res'shev, each section of the res'shev, showing equality to the mavs, then he stopped the bowed to the center, where Pri'mav Amelio Parpaski was. The Res'shev were 51 in number, 25 on one side and 25 on the other. The Pri'mav sat in the middle at a large podium, lighting and darkness was a key aura in the room. The Pri'mav's Maroon eyes set on the guest, the 50 others looking his direction. In the distance they looked like they were part of the shadow. Except when one got closer they began to be clearer and one could see the faces that were in the seats above. They were on the same length, making a semi-circle around a center podium, the guards led him to the podium, when he got up he was at same height with the rest of the Res'shev. The guards left him and went to the entrance of the door. The room was silent for a moment but then the Pri'mav said in the microphone,

"Ambassador David Escudero, Mercantilist States, Welcome to Ozia, the nation of St Oz welcomes you. What sort of business did you nation need to share with us?"

I would have preferred to do this one on one, person to person, Escudero thought to himself, Probably by design. Escudero didn't share Washington and Jackson's idealism towards other governments.

"Thank you for seeing me so prompty," Escudero began. "A trading post on on the Easteros continent run by one of our corporations was attacked by what we determined to be a privateer fleet. The casualties were numerous. But that's our problem.

"However, our captains on the ground reported that they were Ozian-classed ships and submarines. And so the Mercantilist Staes comes to you today to ask if you have any information on this privateer fleet; and to humbly ask for any assistance in tracking down these rogue elements." Which are numerous in your government and God-forsaken country.

"Privateers? How should we know who it is? Our companies sell to anyone, anything. Well if they like them, sometimes we're a bit xenophobic about other foreigners. But, help you? Why should we? What do we gain from this? They haven't attacked us." said Pri'mav Amelio, the other mavs were smiling and some even laughed a bit.

"How about I frame this in a language that we can all relate to: Money. We are willing to offer $1 million Tallents to any individual; or match the best offer," that I'm sure many of you in this body have been given, "from any corporation or organization, for information relating to who is behind, their locations, and the motivations for this attack on our people. And while I don't want to overstep my bounds before this sacred body, I would understand if you would rather not speak up now but approach me at another time in another setting."

At the very least that should bump up these privateers' expenses.

The first squadron of M-16 Spider aircraft were approaching the Privateer Fleet and saw a small aircraft carrier and five AEGIS cruisers.

"I imagined it would be bigger," Second Lieutenant James Frash, flight leader of the squadron said. "Target the lead the cruisers first, let's see if we can't slow them down. Target the carrier on the second time around."

Below they saw the Ozian pilots scrambling to what was left of the privateer air force and anti-aircraft fire begin to fire.

The whole Res'shev started laughing at his comment, the Pri'mav then answered "These Ozian Privateers, They sometimes get 100 Million Pei for a job like this, Some a billion or more. Tracking a whole fleet? Tracking a person? 1 million Tallents, What in Gaea's name is that? That credit isn't even accepted in Ozia, they'd be ripped off with only pieces of paper. Also, This 'Sacred Body' will speak to you now. You dishonor us by leaving now? We made a whole day to converse with your nation's representation and you want to back out now... We could always just send you to Elsgriev (ooc:Refers to Ozia's Central coldest part of the region, home to the Frelsi Hard Labor Camp or similar to the Gulag). Or we could always give you to STIA, or just take out outside and execute you for such dishonor. An Ozian Homeless Rat shows more honor than you in such a setting. Know your place... Now if you show to be a little nicer." He motioned to the guards, "I won't decide any of those three nasty consequences to your fate."

The 2 guards came next to the podium where the delegate stood with I-19s pointed at his body from two sides.
