ooc: CAPTAIN QUARTERS? LMAO. When I said quarters, I meant to place where the captains sleep...but okay, Captain Quarters it is
.
"Yes, Captain. We'll plot a course with the northeast gale behind us, should speed us up nicely," Daniels replied through the cockpits intercom. After giving a salute to the Captain on the video console, he switched the intercom to the ballast department of the
Federation.
"Ballast Room, we're ready to take off. Dispel the air tanks."
Before he steered the
Federation towards Validus, he did a last minute check on the fly-by-wire and "smart" helium control. This airship, was far more advanced than the old Hindenburgs he study in flight school. The manifold and surface of the airship was able to adjust it's shape through a series of powered cables linked with a sophisticated on board computer. Depending on the load weight and weather conditions collected via sensors install around the
Federation, speed and lifting power could be optimized to a precise degree. It was safe to say, no other vehicle of this type came close to the technological grandeur of the
Federation and her sisters ships.
"Pilot Daniel Jackerson to Ship Log, turning portside to 276 degrees, heading for Validus airspace. Strong breeze from the northeast expected, will keep track of storm anomaly LD291. Smooth flight for the most part...Kiar, notify the rest of the ship."
This is your Co-pilot speaking. We are currently heading towards the coast of Validus at a speed of 38 knots, expected to reach 45 knots once we are over the ocean. We currently have a storm system northeast of us moving towards us, but I'm sure the Federation will be able to outrun it and get to Validus by morning. Stay tune later on, the Federation will be making a drop in altitude over the Consena Strait, where we might catch a few White Eye whales making their migration journey to the mating grounds in Glomin. Relax and enjoy the view...
