Administrator Fay Celen, sent as Feniexian analyst and representant, quiet and listening calmly until now, rose from her chair.

"Well, not entering any needless discussions about democracy - most of you should know the Feniexian opinion on the inefficiency of common people ruling nations...I partly agree with the Gallipolli-Chinesian representant. A secret police, as by usual definition, is there to suppress people. The question is not if such actions are morally acceptable; but, if they are needed. I doubt that the Canadian Empire is politically unstable, so what groups shall be exterminated by it? Yes, it is necessary for a government to tighten it's grip on it's nation - but in your case, a secret police would do more harm than good. Canadian citizens are not trying to revolt, they love their nation, they do not despise their government. If Empress Alia wants to provide her nation's residents security, she should fund police and state intelligence organizations. Those protect the nation, those are defensive measures. A secret police is a rather offensive tool - but when there is no enemy, isn't it better to rely on defense instead?"

btw, what happened to Hoshi, Canada?

Well, I think I know what to do with the secret police, I will disband the secret police. I changed the name because..I don't know, I just like the name ALia.

Ah! No more secret police! Wise decision Alia! Long Live Alia! And yet, the people of the Federation still feel safe because of the wisdom of their empress!

Like meritocracy works any better than democracy. I'd personally have Myroria become a republic than a meritocracy.

This still does not solve the problem of annexing Dysanii. You have no right - no right - to take Dysanii's land, even if you lost. That ended with WWII. Maybe the Dysanii don't want to be forced into being Canadians. Maybe they want their freedom. Citizens will fight against any government, no matter how much "peace" or "wealth" it brings, if they know they are occupiers.

To set the record straight right now, I'd support a future Dysanii secession attempt, if one ever happened.

OOC: thoughts are italicized.

IC: So the opinions of a Xyraeli journalist, of a publication with little reputation, have an influence over the monarch of the realm of Canada?  Interesting...

ooc: I smell conflict of characters in RP, something about this "support a future Dysanii secession attempt", with recent declarations, doesn't feel good.

PI is first and foremost, a military organization. We depend on each other in battle, even if we have differing viewpoints. Something such as this should not cause a schism.

If you think Myroria is contradicting itself by our recent declarations, note we opposed Dysanii's invasion of Canada and fought for Canada, but that doesn't mean we think Dysanii should be annexed. Myroria supports any secession attempt that will not directly endanger Myroria, as you've seen. Though I don't think this is what you meant.

OOC: I feel some strange process of mixing IC and OOC is going on in this thread...is this debate now IC or OOC?

it really doesn't matter. IC or OOC, It helps me with my goal.

Now lets move on to the modernizing of the military. for example the decision to create the Tiger Tank, and also to change the uniforms in the current battle uniforms. (The EU Enforcers from Endwar.)

That's what we're doing in Dysanii, we aren't annexing anything, I'm actually waiting for a democratic government to take over Dysanii and make armed forces surrender. As long there's armed forces fighting and an irresponsible government the problem isn't solved.

A "responsible government" that'll take orders from its Canadian and Delfian masters of course.

Sure is, and we, or at least I, want to leave as soon as possible, the plan is that IPO *could* make things easy and over-view the elections of a government and we *could* all sit down and settle the military restrictions to Dysanii.
