Soon after the annoncement on merger of MBC and Staropaamen (
news), Smallanders
* were furious about the "loss" of their beer.
"No to Staropaamen! No to Mercantilist Beer!" proclaimed locals.
"No one is drinking Staropaamen or Pilsner Urquel anymore," a Paagaar tavern owner complained. "We actually have to buy Upland
* beers! I never thought Paagaars would drink those shit! But my customers really preferred Takasian beer to the Mercantilist ones!"
"Hell to the Smichovs!" cursed locals against the founders of Staropaamen.
Josef Biermann, the spokesman of Barbarian Beer based in Munching, Upland, welcomed the boycott and pleased to see a surge of sales in Smalland.
MBC, Staropaamen and the Smichovs have yet to comment on the boycott.
