Chafford Oilfields
« on: June 03, 2007, 09:18:34 AM »
The first missile skimmed harmlessly overhead but the second disintegrated the Lead Landrover like a lego model. Flaming debris rained on the rest of the patrol as they kicked into their immediate action drills. A Barrage of automatic weapons fire headed for the blur of what appeared to be soft-skinned vehicles on the ridge on the left. "Zero this is Romeo 25, contact. out!" The patrol commander screamed into his headset. He pulled his rifle out of the holding rack just in time to see the first of the dune buggys suddenly shot into view in front of him, it sprayed his vehicle with fire from its mounted M60, but the armour of the first snatch held its own and it wasnt until a lucky round thudded through the windscreen and struck O'neil, the driver between the eyes and he slumped forward, taking the steering wheel (and vehicle into a ditch). When The Patrol commander opened his stinging eyes the situation was changeing...

A Black Scorpion Clan 'Father' was leading the the defense. They wanted to set up a cell near the Chafford Oilfields to steal a bit of oil without getting caught, also for smuggling the recently acquired missiles. Since they found out some of them didn't make it to the cell in G-China, they were very upset and wanted to revenge the dead.

BSCFather: "Load the missile tubes! Also the White Phosphoric ones."

BSCFighter: "OK father, but they are alot."

BSCFather: "None-sense! Awake everyone and hand them the AK101s we got from the shipment. We can't waste any more vehicles, everyone to the trenches!"

The fight got intense. The Patrol couldn't check from where all that fire came, and soon small Katyusha missiles started to rain over the vehicles.

Father: "Ahaha! They don't even know how many of us are here! We shall use this element of surprise!"

Soon all the men assembled in the several trenches from the bunkers and tunnels. The fire was intense, fireballs coming out from both sides and the crossfire looked like mad fireflies.

...He pulled himself to his feet and brought his rifle to his shoulder, as he did his headet crackled into action "Comrade Captain, We've stumbled across a Black Scorpion Defensive position!" Called one of the men who had been in the lead landrover. "Suggest we Fall back and regroup!" But The Patrol commander knew better, the political officer had been in the rear-most vehicle and he knew for a fact he would not support any type of withdrawal. "Negative, return fire!" He called back, and started firing in the general direction of the enemy "Everyone get to the dunes, leave the wounded!" He called over his radio, and the men followed. Suddenly there was a noise trhat filled the air, like a freight train, heading in at terrific speed. "Incoming!" Shouted the Sergeant major who had worked his way toward the platoon commander. He slumped forward screaming as he was hit in the back by an un-known element. "Keep the hell down, its phospurous!" Shout the patrol commander as he pinned the screaming Sergeant major to the floor, and used his bayonet to scrape the sizzling white whillie-pete from his back... "Sir, Zero is on the horn, he say's we are to advance to contact!" Cried the radio-operator, but as he turned to give the order another shout was coming down the line... The Black Scorpion Clan had caught the patrol between its pincers, and now the tail was preparing to strike!...

Father: "No more white suns! You guys were out of timing, almost got my missile shooters blind! Third trench move to 1st trench, 2nd trench cover, 1st trench attack the bastards!"

A chaotic hoard of men ran down the hill with their kalashnikovas, covered by extreme fire from the trench in the middle. Allot of dust lifted away covering the field with a dust fog, with occasional cross fire. The runners were close to the Patrol, half of them pitched to the ground short covering the rest. And then they hit the Patrol by surprise! They didn't even shot a fire, was just banging with the AK101s , but since the patrol was prepared, most of them died. Then a 2nd short wave of the ones that were on the ground came up shooting in all directions. The disorder made them killed but taking with them few soldiers, counting with the ones that were hit in the head in the 1st assault. The trenches weren't firing anymore, they couldn't see anything.

Father: "Load the missiles again, as soon this dust passes by and we have no men there start the rain again."

the dust storm came in quicker than the ambush had, the men were quick to put their goggles on. The Enemy could be seen moving in the distance, and the rad-operator reported making contact with HQ who aparantely had re-routed another patrol to their position. "Lets Hope this dust storm keeps up, the bastards wont shell us through fear of hitting their own men!" He mumbled to no one in particular "Comrade Captain, Corporal Bannister reports the Party Sergeant is dead.... we have no political officer!" The radio operator called from behind his cover. "Good, we re-group in the ditch on the other side, 1 and 2 Sections provide cover, tell 3 and 4 to prepare to move.....

Through the dust, Father could see troops moving. He realised his defense wouldn't last long. Whenever they called for backup or not, they had to flee.

"Right, Missile guys, leave it in automatic, fire in 10min. Now regroup near the transports and take the missiles to the boats. I'll check with your radio every 10min, you know what to do."

ooc: RP a bit more, try an offensive or something, kill some of black scorpions. Wherever is the nearest shore, i propose that you take not much more than 10min to reach it. So if your troops can pass the trenches you would be 10min away of the boats. (This is why we should RP things like this with maps :p)

..."Sir, they seem to be retiring!" The Radio operator observed through his scope "Shall we continue falling back?" He asked.
"No, fuck it, advance!" He shouted, his adrenaline pumping, he stood and dashed forward, all along the line men stood with him and charged over the sand-dunes towards the hastily dug trenches. "2 Section, drop and give cover!" He shouted through the intercom. they did, pouring fire onto the enemy, and dropping three or four of them. The Patrol commander kept running, but around him his men were dropping, the trenches grew closer as his breathing grew heavier, but his adrenaline pushed him, and what was left of his platoon over the lip and they dropped into the first trench. He swung left and parried an AKM strike, and smacked the instigator in the face crushing his skull, "2 Section, get the hell over here!" He shouted into his mic...

Father: "Fall back! they are advancing."

Soon the platoon reached the trenches, alot of Black Scorpion fighters got trapped in the trenches, and father still got to see one or two committing suicide running with a grenade in his hands blowing very few enemies. "Into the jeeps, quick. Turn the radio on!"

The remaining fighters on the trenches had a close battle with the military patrol. You could see more arms shooting their rifles than heads or bodies, none risked direct contact and only few grenades flew, not even hitting the enemy. The fighter's 'father' picked up the radio and transmitted to the ones that were carrying the missiles to the boats. "We are falling back! Get ready to hit full gas whenever we arrive, also arm the missile tubes on the rear of the boats!"

One of the jeeps stayed behind, the guy was doubtful if any more would escape, he was alone in a jeep that could carry up to six or more people. Suddenly he could see people climbing the dunes, he noticed they were all enemies, tried to start the jeep as soon as possible. Too late, a bullet when through his torso splattering blood on the inner side of the front window. «Nice shot...» he thought. Gulping blood over the steering wheel, the fighter tried to hit the accelerator, making the car jump a bit, he opened his shirt and took the pistol out, knowing he was doomed, BANG! shot himself.
