Day Seven of the Civil War
Sam von Hessian was walking down the streets of Port Royal, his cane in one hand and his wife, Maggie in the other. They looked around at some of the buildings. Many had propaganda posters condemning the rebel forces in the south and asking for the assistance of the Acadian loyalist forces. Maggie squeezed her husband's hand. "What has this come too. Only a few months ago, we became an independent country, now..this. More war. What will happen now, Sam?"
He looked at her. "The government in Ottawa has responded in the way that it should. Now the Regency Council in Port Royal will have to decide whether or not the Acadian Army will assistance the Canadian Army. The rebels need to be stopped." Maggie looked at her husband and nodded. But before they could continue their talk, a loud horn was sounded. They turned and saw hundreds of soldiers dressed in white and light blue uniforms of Canadian cut. Pot-shaped helmets protected their heads. They carried Canadian Berettas with the bayonets fixed as well as other small arms. As the infantry marched past, Leopard 1s, SK-105 Ocelot light tanks, other armor and field artillery were driven by in formation. Sam looked on. "I guess the Regency Council has decided to fight this civil war." Maggie looked in disbelief. The Kingdom of Acadia was finally going to fight it's war.
New Bael
The men were gathering in a small bunker under the city hall. It was at first a bomb shelter when the Canadians were crossing the borders last year. But now it was the HQ of the rebel forces. The three most powerful rebel armies were meeting together. Chairman Phillip Nassar of the Saintonge Democratic Republic, General Ivan Achev of the Federal Army, and General George Santiago of the Nationalist Revolutionary Army were meeting in the bunker to discuss something of importance. Achev stood up. He was an experienced general of the Federal Army and was dressed in his green Federal uniform. The other two men wore their own respective uniforms. General Sanitiago wore an old-style uniform from the previous era, while General Nassar wore a regular blue coat with jeans. A red band on his arm gave him away as a member of the Democratic Republic.
"Gentlemen, I have brought you here to discuss the war. We do not have the stregth to challenge the Monarchists on open ground separated. So I propose that since we are rebelling to overthrow the puppet government set up by the Canadian military, we band together into an alliance to beat them back. I propose a Confederate Acadia."
Chairman Nassar replied quickly. "What of our independence? The workers and farmers of Acadia are fighting to destroy the oppresive capitalist pigs. Allying myself to your cause will contradict my position."
Sanitiago also added his two cents. "The Nationalist Revolutionary Army also agrees with my communist counterpart. What will happen after the war. We will then have to turn on each other in order to complete our goals."
Achev smiled. "Do you think that when we are done with the Canadians and their Acadian puppets? No, we are not done. I plan to start launching attacks against the Republic of Valhene, the Aemillion Free State and the foriegners occupying the rest of Dysanii. We should be working together instead of conspiring behind each other's backs. So are we in agreement." The other two men nodded. "Alright then, we will fight now as Confederate Acadia. We now need to coordinate our attacks.....
