My Materials and Metals teacher, named Rui Leal, he's a jerk. If you ask him something, he will make fun of you, and most likely will ask back something weird to see if you know anything, and if you say something wrong he asks for you to explain so you can say few more mistakes. The bastard failed me in all the subjects, luckily i was able to pass on both 2nd year subjects, but i still have the 1st year ones to do.

Materials 1 (1st year) failed
Materials 2 (2nd year) passed
Metals 1 (1st year) failed
Metals 2 (2nd year) passed

His exams ask specific things, and if you don't reply straight he cuts the points, a general knowledge of things is no good, you actually have to know every piece. In materials he favors metals for some reason (i think he's not that good with the rest). He doesn't give any written material, he only has some PowerPoint and speaks allot.

My History of Art teacher, have you ever imagined to learn History of Art without any image reference and without museum trips or anything? We actually have great museums of art in Portugal, now with Berardo exposition it's even better. The old man made his classes writing all times int he board and saying what he was writing, and whenever he filled the board he cleaned the top and writes some more, if you didn't pass, too bad. I gave up passing what was on the board after the 1st 2 months. And the old man only knew what was in the book (by far the best for History of Art), he studied Cleric Culture and Art, he only knows about churches. Good thing i was well instructed about pre-Romanic Romanic and Gothic, but he was a total ass. Basically what he writed was a resume of what was written in the book. He didn't like me, i didn't like him, he never failed me in a test but I'm sure i deserved more in most of them, i actually confronted him and what he told me was fantastic, he said i didn't answered with his words, that only the concept was right.

So from the top, how can you learn History of Art with awful writing in boards and no pictures, videos and museums?

My grade 8/10 English Lit. teacher. She knew what she was talking about, but let's just say she would have been better suited teaching grade 2 rather then grades 8-12.

my tech teacher from 11th and 12th grade gave me 17/20, i never really understood his motion, but i always had 20/20 or 19/20 in tests and exercises. I never disliked a teacher for the grades, unless it was a specific work that i actually deserved allot and the teacher gave no consideration.

I had two.  My fifth grade teacher, on the first day of school, stood up in front of the class and told us that she intended to humiliate us at every opportunity, because humiliation would teach us to be humble.  And boy did she carry through on that threat.

The other was my eighth grade science teacher.  All year long, he had us do nothing but look into a microscope and draw what we saw.  We were graded solely on how well we could draw it.  On the rare occasion when someone dared to ask what we were drawing, he'd say it was none of our business.  The principal forced him to have us write term papers rather than do drawing the entire year.  I got very interested in my subject and wrote it two pages longer than was required.  When he handed it back, and I saw the D- on the front of it, I asked him why.  He said, "Because it took me too long to read."

Ah yes, fun times.

I had a social work professor in college who was, to put it simply, a racist, sexist bitch.  I'll not disclose her name, but anyone who's attended my university would know who this is.

She believed that those who belong to minority groups (ethnic, gender, sexuality, etc.) have automatically experienced more hatred and prejudice in their lives than those not in such a group, which is usually true, but she thought they deserved better grades in her class for that reason.  After speaking to a large number of other students about her courses, I realized I could neither speak to or hear of a white male who had ever received an 'A' from this professor... in fact, none had received higher than a 'C' and I personally knew some of them to be quite excellent students.  She graded partially on quality of work, and partially on ethnicity and gender.

This is the scale of grading by which she apparently operated, from lowest to highest:
  • White males
  • White females
  • Black/other minority males
  • Black/other minority females

Students both black and white had been complaining about her for years (as few take pride in being given a grade they can't tell if they actually earned, high or low), but the administration seemed... reluctant to fire her, especially given her frequent asides in class about suing companies and universities who wrongfully fire ethnic minorities.  I grant that this remains a problem in our society and was a valid topic in her subject, but it was clear that she was warning the school against letting her go, in particular.

well we around here have teachers that judge by the size of the boobs, so basically all guys are screwed. It's amasing, specially in Physical Education class (sports), the prettiest and with the biggest pair always get good grades. "Guys are sexist! It's not fair!" Yes, for sure! "We still have difficulties in the workplace" Yes! But at least you have a job and those boobs got you somewhere! "But girls are more educated than boys..." Might, but if we go on facts we will have to use science, but let's not go there...

This is for any girl that thinks her boobs aren't large enough to impress a teacher, we are with you!

Reminds me of a teacher I had in the 70's!  Would make the girls with short skirts write high on the blackboard and pick up pens he'd drop.  He'd also look down the big boob girls' tops.  Yeah - I was one of those.  :P  I only had him for one class, thank goodness!  He'd also play bad violin a lot.  I think this was in Social Studies class.

Wow!  That's bad!!   :o

burping is evil, i already got sent out of the classroom for no reason.
There was another funny moment, the teacher was quite used to cursing, but i was doing a precise job and suddenly something went wrong, i said a bad word out loud, he wanted to make me an example and told me to get out. I wouldn't blame him if i wasn't sick of serving as the example.
