raped is insulting :p but yes i guess you're right, so if there's alot of world powers that end up fighting each other 'again', the ones that aren't raped will boost? Yes there was no reconstruction in USA, no starting over. But i think the starting over is quite important of a society to develop, like a restart button. Do you think that with China having their problems will ever reach world super power? I've my doubts, it will always be a large world power, but desertification when the most reliable source a century ago or so was agriculture?

Having to rebuild can certainly be a catalyst for change and therefore presents the possibility of improvement.  But that isn't necessarily a given.  There are too many variables that would affect the outcome.  If the devastation was severe enough, it could take a very long time to rebuild, and there is no guarantee that the country would ever be even as strong as it was before.  On the other hand, there are many other things that can trigger the beginning of a massive change.

Greece? lol we still live in DISCO time in the mediterraneum

Khablan, i agree, but it's always good, if a guy gets a big promotion and stays like the head of something for too long he gets vices, probably discovers flaws and starts to exploit them  ::) ::) If the company collapse he must start over, he will be more careful, and probably loose all his vices and corruption, probably the pride too. He will be more mature, don't you agree that all those rich boys that earn some high place by hierarchy and get corrupt and all that, probably influenced by his ancestors, could learn with some severe collapse?

Japan was completely destroyed by war, Tokyo was leveled and look at them now, however, they didn't pay for much of the reconstruction, the USA did.
restarting a society can be a very good thing...given the knowledge we now posses.

world super powers: China,Russia,
World powers: Great Britain, India, south Korea, Japan

given the scenario USA doesn't exist by 2100, the USA falls out of the ranking completely.
Global climate change over the next 93 years will create unique side effects across the globe.
i am of the opinion that Canada will become the worlds bread basket.

world's bread basket = feed the poor; would be the one in a position to dole out favors to other countries?

I'm an absolute believer in the old phrase "power corrupts".  Not everyone would become corrupt to the same degree, but I don't believe that it's possible to remain absolutely untouched by it.  But there have been such people as you describe, powerful businessmen who lost everything, and who simply picked up and moved into a new field without changing their ethics in the least.  Some become -more- corrupt in their desperation to regain what they've lost.  So again, it can be a catalyst for the good, but it doesn't always work out that way.  Much would depend on the person.  Don't forget that some would simply become bitter and more hard-nosed, rather than be improved by the experience.

tbh Australia can be a world power for long time, but that's just it. Probably will be involved in wars or diplomacy in east Asia. Australia can be a very loyal commercial partner with China is it gets to super-power.

Khablan that's not very positive :p, but yes you're right. Imagine if it was those men who rebuilt Europe...maybe they are! *shakes in fear*

If this was an ideal world, everything would always work out for the best, and all people would work together for the good of the world as a whole.  But I'm a realist.  Due to human nature, sometimes things will work out well, and sometimes they won't.  In order for any plan to succeed, it must take into consideration all factors and possible outcomes.

I would not go to a high-crime area and leave my car unlocked in the hopes that people will do the right thing and leave it alone.  I would lock it because not all people have the best intentions.  In the same way, when I form opinions regarding the best means to achieve a specific goal, I take into consideration what might go wrong as well as what might go well.

I don't think so really. Nations like Australia and Canada are still part of the British Commonwealth, so add (and fall into) Great British world power. Hell, the Queen is still technically Head of State in Canada, isn't she? Its not like Im preaching British power over these countries or anything...they are free to vote themselves out of the Commonwealth when they like.
