Technically, my family is more biased toward the tragedy of it all, cause one of the newscasters was working when my mom was a kid. But takimg into account that the pilots weren't watching where they were flying is a little, to quote a favorite comedian of mine, "dee-dee-dee!"

for those that only know the skies filled with helicopters, in Portugal we save the helicopters for the fire season, even then only the fire ones are used. Other usages are for the air force shows and emergency medical assistance, specially used in Azores (middle of the Atlantic). w00t, helicopters? Rare to see one passing by on Portuguese skies. Mostly anything is done in small airplanes for advertising, fire season assistance, territory patrol...anything.
