The Most Important Thread I've Ever Posted
« on: October 07, 2007, 03:44:26 PM »
There are things in life, that one wishes would happen. Things so awesome that they are almost fanciful, things that if only.. if only they would happen, the world would be just a bit of a better place.

Well, one of them has happened.....

LED ZEPPELIN HAS REUNITED!!!!

Currently, it's just supposed to be for one show, but the band has not ruled out a tour for '08, so I hear. Even if the tour doesn't happen, surely footage of the already closed out concert will be turning up here and there... zomg.. too fucking awesome....

I'd be more excited about this if two things were different.

1. If Jon Bonham were alive.

2. If Robert Plant didn't sound so horrible. The years have not been kind to him. I heard him awhile ago and was utterly disappointed.

Really.  All that vocal chord abuse has killed Robert's pipes.  Still, it should be interesting to see how this reunion goes.  More interesting than the Genesis reunion tour without the two most talented Genesis guys coming up, anyway.  What a waste.

Nope, still not as good as your "Do eggs smell like ass?" thread  ;D

This sounds cool though. Led Zeppelin's not of my generation, but I can still appreciate them. Kashmir's my personal LZ song.

So true. ;)
"I believe every single person is extraordinary. The tragedy is that we
have a society where too many people never get to fulfill that
extraordinary potential. My view – the liberal view – is that
government’s job is to help them to do it. Not to tell people how to
live their lives. But to make their choices possible, to release their
potential, no matter who they are. The way to do that is to take power away from those who hoard it. To challenge vested interests. To break down privilege. To clear out the bottlenecks in our society that block opportunity and block progress. And so give everyone a chance to live the life they want." - Nick Clegg, Leader of the Liberal Democrats and Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

Even though this is yet another one reunion in a series, I am glad they're doing it.  It's how bands like that should do it.

I wish the Stones would shut-up now and then and reunify once very two years.   :D

Black Dog... Going to California... Kashmir... they're all good.
