In response to the recent IRC rules implemented, I have created #taijitu2 as an alternative or supplement to #taijitu. The rules here are similar to those before the most recent update of #taijitu's rules. Just use your common sense.

Just use your common sense.

Common sense was one of the old rules that we had, but that didn't work and people still got into flame wars and abused ops
Make sense? What fun is there in making sense?

Common sense would say that if some *insert unappropriate term Delfos's topic was probably locked for here* is insulting you in irc, to just ignore them and not let what some idiot a million miles away (and that you will never see or TRULY know) said bother you.

I'm only a citizen because I have chosen to sit back and make sure things have kept running. I have been an op in #taijitu since before this region existed and even turned down a founder position

Let's not forget that Limi's a forum admin here too.  He just tends not to post often.

If people want another channel, then fine.  I can't see any problem with it.  There is no rule that says you can only talk in designated areas.
