why in this section, that's not awesome.

yes the game is great, I normally play with the black dudes and stay out of wars for as long as i can. Last time I played, two friends of mine were fighting each other to the death while I was conquering whole world already, moving from Asia to Europe, while they fought in America.

I must say I found it as a PC game, but wasn't as great as playing with the board.

My favorite Risk strategy is one my family likes to call the "Bus Fulla Nuns" - running rampant through the less defended parts of the map with a small task force, beating them down with naught but rulers and a sense of righteous might.  ;D

I rather play surrounding the area I want, then go inside, the good thing is that I can make several attacks on the same box. This strategy includes a defensive part, put as less troops as you can in your border, and several units nearby this border key points. If they attack, they will win for sure, but then you have the upper hand for retaliation, destroying his whole task force...damn, this topic is so out of section, either arts and entertainment Risk, or should be in Game tips.

"General Discussion
Feel free to talk about anything and everything in this board."

Yeah, this thread is sooooooooo out of place.

I generally just stuff all of my forces into that purple area and hope everyone else kills each other.

We should play a game of forum Risk, just for the lulz.

That is going to be so fun to quote out of context.

And my favorite strategy is when you run rampant with armies which are much smaller than your enemies by repeatedly rolling high rolls. It's not unlike Wesnoth in some respects some to think of it.

I always try to get either Australia or South America early on in the game, usually South America, because everyone else I know fights over Australia  :-P

Once South America's secure, I can prevent anyone from gaining North America and Africa, and then just plug away at those continents until I have one of them.

If only we could settle real wars with dice rolls. That could be problematic, but entertaining nonetheless.

"Ukraine is weak! It's a sitting duck!"

"You say Ukraine is weak? I AM FROM UKRAINE!"

"Hey, back off, we're playing a game over here."

"YOU THINK UKRAINE IS A GAME? HERE'S WHAT I THINK OF YOUR GAME!!"
