New Badges
« on: August 05, 2007, 04:41:12 PM »
I've made some new badges (I had to make a Deputy Minister one so... yeah) and now I want to know what y'all think.

Beyond poll-voting, suggestions on the colours would be welcomed.

Note: The Deputy Minister badge that's in the Old column is just a design I was working with before I made the full new designs, it isn't actually currently in use :-D.

Thanks go to Thel for much advice.

I love the frames - it sets the button off from the background very nicely.  And going with the same icon on them instead of the various ones looks MUCH nicer.  Using the stars instead makes it a lot less confusing.

Eeeeeexcellent job, Elu!!!

Better graphics for the badges, though I have to say the color for citizen is a bit bright... and annoying... but other than that it's fine Elu.

I like them, although it is kinda weird seeing new colours for names. Probably just because it's new though, all in all good work

Yeah, on the whole they're alright, but I don't like the Citizen colour.

Citizen cyan makes my eyes bleed.

Seconded.

government’s job is to help them to do it. Not to tell people how to

potential, no matter who they are. The way to do that is to take power away from those who hoard it. To challenge vested interests. To break down privilege. The colours of usernames are a separate issue and I'll try and make them better ASAP.

Well, not just the username (for the citizens); the badge is eye-bleed-worthy cyan, as well.

Yeah, I know, Solnath just got to the point a little more bluntly.

The badges are beautiful!  What a wonderful job you've done of improving them, Elu and Thel.  I especially like 'Justice' and 'Dignitary' as opposed to 'Judge' and 'Ambassador' - it sounds much more formal and pleasant.

I must agree that the Citizen text color needs a bit of a tweak, but the badge for them is fine - same color it's always been, really.  It simply didn't look as bright with the text a darker color.

The badges are beautiful, I agree.  But the people are Ambassadors; isn't "Dignitary" a bit vague?  I agree on Justice, though.
