Then why do people bring guns to school and kill oher students?
Because they indulgently allow themselves to be taken over by anger to the point where revenge fantasies change in two very important ways:
1.) They become more intense and violent than warranted.
2.) They become more "real" and seem not only plausible but reasonable to the one experiencing them.
Those who do those awful sorts of shootings could also be suffering from any number of psychological ailments, chemical imbalances, etc., which make it easier to disconnect from reality to the point where killing people for their childish taunts/pranks feels like a logical jump.
It's simply not the sort of thing a sane mind would seriously consider. A single dream is different, but to actually do something like that is beyond the realm of anything resembling a rational reaction. Believe me, I was picked on and tormented all through elementary and junior high school (verbally and physically) and I never once considered hurting someone. Kids and teens
can get through that rough stage without becoming violent.
