I'm trying to figure out what's actually going on with election issues. Other forum-goers, where do you get your news, and where do you look for fact-checking and clarification and the like? What sources do you trust, if any?

Today's date is: Today is Jocidi, 5 Cielidor AR 5 - Day 1770 of the Glorious Revolution.

MSNBC is even more liberal. I would recommend that one.

Maybe we should make a list of news sources on a political spectrum.

sorry for double posting but I'd like to share with you something, euronews polls which are mainly to europeans and greater incidence in German and French people has this results:

Do you think Mitt Romney will win the 2012 US presidential election?

yes (22% - 909 votes)

no (73% - 2951 votes)

i don't know (5% - 196 votes)

--------I read this as a blunt No from european standards, specially with a 5% undecided.

Has Barack Obama satisfied your expectations of him as a president?

yes (55% - 341 votes)

no (38% - 238 votes)

i don't know (7% - 45 votes)

-----------This is a bit more mixed, I voted No, I don't think Obama did well and failed in a lot of aspects, but as far as american politics go, I'd vote him as lesser evil, or a third party if given the chance. Maybe I had too much expectation or maybe europeans had really low expectation from Obama.

Most people have had fairly low expectations from Obama after the rhetoric of Hope and Change was abandoned in favor of cautious centrism. That's a discussion in itself, actually, and an interesting one, but I'll defer that to another time.

Anyway, I've looked at google news but it churns out quite a mix of things. How difficult is it to train, and how well does it work once one has done so? Also, where do people go for opinions/analysis, if at all? Avoiding unreasonable vitriol is quite difficult (not that I mind it in moderation).
