Dismissal of nations not fitting the spirit of Taijitu.
« on: August 17, 2007, 02:09:19 PM »
Dear fellow Nations, this is an open letter, addressing to Crazy Monkeymen, the founder of Taijitu.

Dear Crazy Monkeymen.

It recently came to my attention that, many nations within our region has unreasonable policies imposed upon their respective citizens that does not fit the spirit of Taijitu.

Taijitu, is supposed to be a Utopia for those fleeing oppression, and yet, I found many nations within Taijitu are Corporate Police States and PSYCHOTIC Dictatorship.

I believe, as a responsible member of Taijitu, we should expel such nations from our region to maintain regional stability and integrity.

I suggest that we remove all UN-Classified Psychotic Dictatorship and Iron-Fist nations immediately from Taijitu.

Best wishes, and have a great weekend.
Nelson McNamara

I don't we'll be doing that. It's people's right to choose their UN category, we can't kick them for that. Besides, that's only worth anything if you RP.

I'm a benevolent dictatorship, and I don't expect to be kicked because I'm not a bureaucracy democracy.

Thank you for that display of eloquence, Bara, you are right.

If this is a joke, it made me giggle a bit. If this is serious, I doubt it is worth commenting on it. I've seen hundreds of new-comers in NS but I've never heard such a suggestion.

How about we just kick you out?

Seriously, and Delfos he does not have a point, just because someones nation says something doesn't mean they act that way on the forums or in NS.  For example my main nation is a Corporate Police State.  Does that mean I agree with that form of government, no, in fact I am the opposite in Real Life and I play NationStates as a game.  I know that may come to a shock but no we can't do that.

::) I'm not saying we should kick anybody, I'm against social exclusion by ideal.
I think it's ok having the most idiotic dictatorships, whatever makes you happy, i wouldn't agree with bringing such idiotic ideals out of the games, but it's a mad world we live in, what do i care? The point i was referring is that this is a community, people get insulted for saying what they think, even excluded (naughty ryaz). Has this madness reached the core of Taijitu? Are we all Idiotic Dictators?

encourage kicking me out and you're giving me all the reason

Just to add my :2c:: it would go against our ideals to kick people out of our region for having policies directed towards fictional people that some few of us don't like or agree with; that's precisely the type of oppression I imagine we want to fight against.

Then again, you may have been being sarcastic and, in such a case, I salute you for a job well done!

I thought that too, but Myro added his will, doesn't matter, does it? Encouraging kicking anyone out and it's giving me all the reason anyway. I also would like to applaud Allama's post, specially the sarcasm part.
