Avatars
« on: January 05, 2007, 10:57:39 AM »

Spent about an hour this morining trying to help Flem get his avatar uploaded... i got it to upload, but the forum doesnt re-size it no matter what I do, so it's stuck showing only the left hand side..... what can we do about that? I'd also like for our avatars to be large.. like what we're used to.

Looks like you have to resize it manually, before uploading.  To me, it looks like these forums limit the avatar display size and if its too big, will only show the predesignated size maximum set by the forums' host (I assume this is a free forum-hosting site).

I expanded the avatar length and width to 100 pixels yesterday; you may need re-upload them.

Anyone who has an avatar with a scroll bar underneath, this should fix if you re-upload them.

It isn't a free hosting site. It's my site. And I just didn't bother to change the default settings on avatars too much. I'm fine with TGR's changes though :)

So, you own the server? Cool. Does it run on Linux too. Uncool.

Well then, if you don't like Linux, just don't use any websites that run on it.

Yes, run off to MSN.com and stay there :D

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I've been working with Linux!!!!

Actually, I don't really hate it. It's just I find it funny that you have to have the correct capitals in your filenames or it won't find them. :D

Yes. It's case sensitive.

You just have to remember that that's all.
