This is going to be an OOC post for the most part, because I feel like that given the current situation I need to be open, and blunt about what has been done, and what our current aim is.
As of the most recent update, The Taijitu Nationalist Alliance has accquired control of the delegacy. This was not unilateral, many were invovled and lended aid in endorsements, or even advice. This is not a power trip, this is more of an... intervention than anything.
Our intent is to revitalise the region from the ground up. New constiution, new senate, updated forums, a renewed place on the inter-regional stage and most of all, a coherent, stable, and most of all, active government.
Once our aims are completed, delegate elections will resume in a manner close to the customary Taijitu style. How long will this take? That depends at least in part on you. We need all of you to pitch in. I realise that some of you may not find our particular style of coming to power to your liking. I understand and respect that. What I'm asking now, is for all of us to put ideology, grievances, fears, and our own base nature aside, at least momentarily to work for something better that all of us can benefit from.
Government announcements will come shortly. I tend to put people where they feel they will be their most effective. That will take a couple of days to put together. There are RL schedules and time differences involved, so please be patient on that. There will be a provisional government in place by the end of the week, and work on a new constitution has already begun.
The traditions of taijitu, neutrality and democracy, will remain in the constitution. Elections for delegate will resume once the region has stabilized and the region is up and running again. To encourage participation, the legislature will be up and running before that point.
Once more, I ask all of you to please join us. No matter what you're able to do, we have limited manpower and a lot to do before it gets better. Want to help? Recruit. I'll be doing it. As will the rest of our government.
I realise that there may be questions, or skepticism. This isn't the first time this region undergone an attempted reviatlisation. But it will be the one that succeeds.
The link below will be to an audio address. I wanted to try to come as close as I could to communicating directly with anyone who wanted to hear it. If you'd like to hear it, just click.
Thank you all for you understanding, your support, and your assistance.
We can do this. Together.
Taijitu over all!
