It has been my philosophy, and indeed, the tradition of Taijitu, to remain "neutral" in the Raider/Imperialist vs Defenders debate. This has allowed us flexibility in our actions of the past, and has been a fairly sound foreign policy.
Before I go any further, I'd like to explain my mindset on the whole Raider/Defender thing, and why I've stuck so hard to neutrality in the past. . The way that I see it, there are regions who engage in the inter-regional scene, and actively play the political/military (such as it is) side of NS. If they get raided, taken, whatever, I frankly could not care less. That's what they signed up for. I also believe, that for NS to have what little actual gameplay it has, this balance of ying and yang between Raider and Defender needs to exist. Both are required, and both have their time and place.
That being said, there is a line. A fine point which I do not feel should be crossed. That line is when nations who do not participate in the larger inter-regional community, who have effectively "opted out" of wider NS game play.. are attacked without reason or provocation. This is just flat out asshattery, and is not even a legitimate military challenge for those invading.
I am not revoking neutrality, I am, however, stating that it will henceforth be the policy of this administration to oppose wanton acts of fuckwittery, douchbaggery, and herpescockflopwafflery where ever we find it, and in whatever way we see fit. This includes, but is not limited to, acting in conjuction with defender organisations or acting unilaterally if resources permit.
So yeah, that's about it. The Dicknozzles of NS are put on notice.
