Wiki text

Quote from: Continuity of Governance Bill
1. If the Lieutenant Delegate, having assumed the office of Delegate, is removed, or there is no Lieutenant Delegate to assume the office of Delegate, the Speaker will assume the office of Delegate and cease to be a Senator.
2. If the Speaker, having assumed the office of Delegate, is removed, or there is no Speaker to assume the office of Delegate, the next available Minister in the order Minister positions are defined in the appropriate law will assume the office of Delegate.
3. If there are no available Ministers to assume the office of Delegate, the next available Senator in the order the Senators were elected, ties in the ordering broken by vote count and then by seniority as a Senator and then by seniority as a Citizen, will assume the office of Delegate.
4. If there are no available Senators to assume the office of Delegate, the Delegacy will be vacant.
5. In all cases when any person from this extended line of succession takes the office of Delegate, a special election will be organized with 3 days for nominations and 3 days for voting otherwise consistent with the procedure for elections under law.

As the number of voters in the last election or valid referendum is 13, this petition will go to a vote if signed by at least 4 citizens.
