A Response to Chasmanthe's Campaign from your Delegate

Lapeirousia? Chasmanthe? I do not know which name he goes by. He must have a few dozen of them he's used. What do we call those types of people? People with an agenda. He wants to transform a historically neutral region to a raider focused hub. Extremely limiting? Maybe for you, but the Taiji intel-network was vast because of its neutrality. We maintain neutrality to seek what's best for Taijitu here, not for the inter-regional raider cause. It's laughable that he identifies with raiders for his support of Osiris during its crisis, a break of honor among fellow brothers and sisters of sinister deeds. I used to be a raider a long time ago, and there's a reason why I quit. You have all chosen this region as your home for probably much the same reason.

Lap came to this region telling us all he only wanted to see Taijitu prosper in its immobile state, noble ideals but with little action behind it. He took advantage of Taijitu's feeble state by making himself a senator, and now he's taking advantage of our lack of activity to put himself into a place of power because he can never hope to have any in the Pacifics. This awkward stand by the punch bowl Pacifican hasn't participated in recruiting here. Instead at every avenue he's bugged me only about higher political power. What have has he and the others done in the senate that's so important? They talk about activity but they were elected a month ago and by looking at the legislative page, they have done nothing but appoint people to chief justice and speaker of the senate. (http://forum.taijitu.org/legislative-branch/) How silly. How different is he than me? The delegate terms are 90 days and in 30 as a senator he hasn't done a single damn thing. So the truth is you all have a choice here between a native deadbeat and a sad little pacifican deadbeat.
He talks about how bad I am, but he has nothing good to offer about himself. I have something good to offer about myself, and that's I'm not someone like Chasmanthe. You all may be thinking this is my fault, why hasn't Oz done more for this region that he loves so much, and why should I keep him elected? Let me tell you the truthfully. The delegate has no power to bring back the region if none of Taijitu's citizens have the willpower to do so. You need a squad of recruiters, you need people active on the forums, and you need a senate that passes things besides emergency powers acts and nomination votes. The Delegate is an executive and a caretaker. I can't veto any laws if the senate can't make any laws, I cant' run an army if I don't have any soldiers, and I can't recruit by myself. A vote won't bring you back activity, only you all can. Real regional activity comes from you the Taijis. I can be either type of delegate, the steward-caretaker or the active, but that depends on you. I'll tell you something I'm not. I'm not someone who came to this region one and a half months ago trying to power grab my way into this region's politics. All he really wants is a chance to forward his flunked political career in the pacifics. Everywhere at any forum he can put in his signature, "Delegate of Taijitu, look how important I am now." We are his resume and he couldn't give a !@#$ about Taijitu. If he did, he'd actually do something like recruit or vote for something actually relevant in the senate.

On the subject of diplomatic relations, poking fun at people who spend 24 hours a day connected to an IRC channel trying to figure out who is the best pedant is hardly "destroying relations". I'd rather not be friends with any minute personality with a minute world view. Lap subscribes to these types because he is unimaginative, a follower, a worshiper, a manipulator, and most of all a sloth when it comes to doing anything. Lists and words are fun, but I gave you a message and a warning. I don't really care who you vote for, prove me wrong if you think just voting for this sloth will do anything. Why let him use our region? I'm not going anywhere, and I don't care about my image with other nations obviously. I wouldn't be surprised if he rallied some of his patrons from Osiris to oust me if I won.

So ask yourselves, do you want a tool or a Taiji for a delegate?

From the mass Taijitu message in case your nation ceased to exist or is somewhere else.

An interesting campaign position from both candidates. Thank you for the reading material.
