Replays that make you think "What the hell."

Note: this is from the final stage of Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, a "shmup" game (think Galaga, only a little more modern-looking and sounding.)  This particular genre is sometimes called "bullet hell" because of the sheer amount of fire your enemies shoot at you.  What makes the run in the replay so difficult is that if you get hit once in this game, you're dead, and you only have a few lives to waste before you have to continue.  I can't even begin to imagine being this good at a game.  Maybe if I had a PC and a couple of months in a solitary confinement cell.

Oh, if you do watch the replay, watch the whole thing.  Hardest boss fight EVAR starts halfway through it.

This Arcade games got really exploited to the max, i couldn't play that. I get bored with Level 1 Tetris, dunno how people can play it 24/7

This game can hardly be compared to Level 1 Tetris, but yeah, the genre isn't exactly for everyone.  The Touhou Project series is best to play for an hour or two and then put away for a while.  Also, the music is all really great.

Enough about that.  Post more replays!

I remember seeing this for the first time; once you get about a minute into the video and it starts dodging all that ridiculous stuff, your jaw just drops and stays that way for a while.  I doubt I could play that game without issuing a very high degree of profanity.  ^_^

Any genre you want, as long as the replay makes you think "What the hell.  How can anyone do that?"

Heh, I have this game, and I'm terrible at it, so I know what you mean.  I try not to play it around other people for that reason.

I think if I was in solitary confinement until I beat this game I'd just opt for suicide.

Just saw this today.  No way in HELL this was done without a controller.  Plus, it is a demo, and looks like a song naming glitch (it says YYZ, but it's Jordan, alright).

Guitar Hero II - Jordan 100% Expert - Clicky
"I believe every single person is extraordinary. The tragedy is that we
have a society where too many people never get to fulfill that
extraordinary potential. My view – the liberal view – is that
government’s job is to help them to do it. Not to tell people how to
live their lives. But to make their choices possible, to release their
potential, no matter who they are. The way to do that is to take power away from those who hoard it. To challenge vested interests. To break down privilege. To clear out the bottlenecks in our society that block opportunity and block progress. And so give everyone a chance to live the life they want." - Nick Clegg, Leader of the Liberal Democrats and Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

An amazing grenade stick for anybody familiar with Halo 3

Those GH videos always blow my mind and I actually think it would be immensely more difficult to try those songs on Expert with a controller rather than the guitar, but that's just me. I've only been able to beat Jordan 52% without losing on Expert myself :(
