QuoteNo i just compared David Lynch would do a pretty similar or better movie without inducing drugs into the movie, not about the story itself, Johnny really does a great work so I would just say the movie is great because of him, otherwise i don't see much of an interest. This post was about what people thought of the movie. Before you say anything about the drug references and Lynch wouldn't use them, Frank from "Blue Velvet" was a carrying a bottle of nitrous oxide. If Lynch had directed "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", he would have kept the drug referneces in. The movie is great not because of the acting but because it gets right in your face about drug use. It gives the feeling that you are right there and really did a good job converting the book to a movie.

I didn't read the book if you haven't understood.
He would have kept the drug references in because without them the movie would be five minutes long.
