Fantasy Song Covers
« on: May 03, 2008, 04:00:25 AM »
I was thinking yesterday about how some songs that I liked would sound if a different artist sang them.  I gathered a list of 10 songs I'd like to hear sung differently, and who I would like to hear sing them.                               Through the Fire and Flames (Dragonforce) performed by the Foo Fighters, Mercy (Duffy) performed by Christina Aguilera, Bring Me To Life (Evanescence) performed by JD Natasha, Pork and Beans (Weezer) performed by My Chemical Romance, Brighter than Sunshine performed by Rob Thomas, Common People (William Shatner/Pulp) performed by Weezer, Barracuda (Heart) performed by Evanescence, You Know My Name (Chris Cornell) performed by Jet, Perfect Situation (Weezer) performed by A Fine Frenzy, and Hold On (KT Tunstall) performed by Sara Bareilles.
"I believe every single person is extraordinary. The tragedy is that we
have a society where too many people never get to fulfill that
extraordinary potential. My view – the liberal view – is that
government’s job is to help them to do it. Not to tell people how to
live their lives. But to make their choices possible, to release their
potential, no matter who they are. The way to do that is to take power away from those who hoard it. To challenge vested interests. To break down privilege. To clear out the bottlenecks in our society that block opportunity and block progress. And so give everyone a chance to live the life they want." - Nick Clegg, Leader of the Liberal Democrats and Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

Bump!  Well no one apparently liked this topic in 2008, maybe it'll have better success now  :P  Any takers?

I'm not musically knowledgeable enough to make a coherent reply to this thread.

This is probably close enough.

That is the most terrifying part of it.
