Documents Uncover Yesterday
« on: September 01, 2007, 03:55:50 AM »
I was backing stuff from my old comp to my laptop for college, when i found these docs i wrote in my preteens. I'm amaze by the contents, feel like they're from somebody else. I also dare say, that I was a better writer back then than now  :D.

Here some stuff I thought was good, mostly emo poems (we all went through that phase) and letters about crushes. Most of these pieces do not represent my older, crack happy, less suicidal, present self. Enjoy!

Black is the Day...

Black is the day,
of gray and rain,
The solemn tears of the sky,
Drip out from my eyes.

A heart so heavy,
from vile weights,
leads of lies,
and vials of pain.

As I stand in this soiled spot,
Still from time and change,
The demons of heart and soul,
Come creeping out from below.

They sink their claws into thee flesh,
Tearing out at my fragile health,
Drowning my dreams in cauldrons of oil,
Leaving me half dead with a barren heart and shell.

I didn't know i was so emo...

Heres a quote i found entitled PHIL1. I wrote this during my starting fascination in military history.

"Conflict brings out the potential and change in people, the constant draft that flows and refreshes. Peace becomes stale air in a room. Sooner or later, someone would open the window."

About the quote...it has a nice artistic value but i have to disagree with the actual statement. In times of was the human mind is more preoccupied about survival, and being victorious in the conflict, whilst in times of peace the creative freedom has no boudaries. An artist can travel wherever he wants to paint, take photos, write or whatever. Peace is the catalyst of creation because it embodies all the feelings ( love, happiness, melancholy etc. along with the ones that are specific to a country/region decimaded by war : dismay, anger, fear, hate etc. Peace by it's unique complexity is the trigger for creation.

The best art pieces are that of battles and plots...the stir of emotions it creates and the string of actions that are capture in the frame of conflict. when I say conflict, I don't just mean war, but the the problems in life and the continue struggle face by an individual.

Very gruesome. :2c:
We keep our weapons super destructive, but they're never used unless our national security is threatened, our foreign trade blockaded, we are invaded, our planetary colonies invaded, or our capital is nuked.-President of The Most Powerful Nation In The World (TMPNITW), G-Day Rawlings-
