Daily Life in Taijitu

Information: The place to go if you need a bit of guidance; questions, important information, guides, and questions are to be found here.

General Discussion: For talking about things both serious and silly.  Go wild!

Real Life: This is where we discuss the goings on of the "real world".  Blogs are found within.

Arts & Entertainment: Our "culture" section, where Taijituans discuss everything from literature to video games to the latest goofy YouTube videos.

Games: Need to get some ridiculousness out of your system?  Try the Games area, home of the infamous (and indestructible) Taijitu Tavern.

Role Play: This is the home of our extensive RP forums.  Whether you enjoy National, Historical, Futuristic, Fantasy, or just plain Silly, we have something for you within.  Enter if you dare!

IRC: Taijitu has an IRC channel, #Taijitu!  Use our very own PJIRC client to enjoy real-time chats with our many zany members.  Be sure to read the Channel Rules before entering.

The City

The Taijitu Sun: Taijitu's official newspaper, now in production and gearing up for its first issue!  You can apply to become a member of the staff, if you're so inclined.

The Bazaar: The heart of Taijitu's economy, it is here that all goods and services being offered for sale by our residents can be purchased.  If you're an entrepreneurial individual yourself, you can set up your own store as well in the hope of earning a few extra Tai.

The Zocalo: Here is where you can find out about and join civic organizations like our local frathouse, political parties, and an inter-regional org - our very own chapterhouse of the honorable Order of Gryphons.

The Acropolis: Spiritually inclined?  Consider looking into our local religions and seeing if any of them fit your faith.  This is the place to join one or even start your own!

The Medeist Academy: This is Taijitu's University, where you may attend a lecture on any of a number of intriguing subjects or sign up to teach a course of your own.

Government and Regional Involvement

Internal Affairs Office: This should be your first stop if you want to become more involved in Taijitu.  Once you've joined our region, we hope you'll apply at this office to become an official citizen.  It will open up new opportunities for you, and the requirements are simple!

Voter Registration: Here is where you can register to vote if you meet the requirements.  Senators are registered automatically.

Delegate Elections:  Elections are held every three months.  Registered voters are encouraged to cast their ballots.

The Office of Recruitment: This is where you can sign up to be a recruiter.  Why should you do that, you ask?  Recruiting helps Taijitu and allows you to directly impact our future; recruiters brought our region to where it is today and keep it there by bringing in new nations.  Not only that, but you'll be bringing home a hefty salary.

Office of the Minister of Defense: Do the armed forces appeal to you?  You can become a part of our most excellent army, specializing in neither raiding nor defending but epitomizing both aspects of NS warfare.

Office of the Minister of External Affairs: To catch up on inter-regional goings on or apply to become an Ambassador to one of our many foreign embassies, look here.

Embassies:  The embassies of our many regional allies reside here.  Curious about what's going on in the rest of the NationStates world?  Check here to read the updates posted by their ambassadors.

The Senate: This is the home of Taijitu's legislature.  You may view the proposals and debates at hand in the Chambers, as well as the votes on the Floor.  If you meet the simple posted requirements, you may apply to become a Senator; this is a great step for anyone wishing to become a direct participant in Taijitu's functioning.

The Delegate's Office: This is the office of our elected Delegate, the supreme regional executive.  Here you can review the latest news from the executive branch or lodge your opinion as to just how the Delegate ought to vote on current UN resolutions.

The Laws of Taijitu: The legal code of the region, from our  Constitution to laws passed by the Senate.  Unsure of something's legality (or lack thereof)?  Check here first.

If you have any questions whatsoever, feel free to post it here in my office or send me a message .  Someone may already have asked it, so be encouraged to look through the Help Desk thread or check the rest of the Information section.  Enjoy Taijitu and have a wonderful day!
