(Dell installs the world's most horrendous software on their computers when they format them. I frequently had to help friends of mine who had been given/purchased Dell laptops to take to college. Several were so slow, buggy, and full of spyware within a month of being booted up they barely ran Internet Explorer. Those were not owned by idiots, either; they treated their PCs just fine. The problem is the 9 million programs Dell has turning themselves on automatically on start-up; especially Norton Anti-virus. Worst. Program. Ever. As soon as I uninstalled it and put Avast! and AdAware (both free programs) on instead, their problems were 90% solved. The remaining 10% was taken care of when we shut down the other useless shit.)
