Werewolf RPG Game
« on: July 26, 2007, 05:08:39 AM »
OK. The game is simple. You all are assigned a position secretly, and keep it secret, and try to get rid of every person from the other side. You also RP. So... here are the roles.

(Any person with a role will send me a message telling me their targets. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR ROLE! And do not RP committing your acts, it gives your position away.)

Here are the roles. Tell me if you want to play and 'll give you a position.

Also, you all vote to execute somebody. Anybody is an option, and the one with the most votes is executed. When one of a side is completely killed, the other side wins!

By the way.. after you're dead, you can be a ghost and simply RP.

GOOD:
Villagers x3: Knows who the other villagers are.

Sheriff x1: Jail a person a night (makes a person immune to be executed)

Bodyguard x1: Protects a person to be killed (but not executed the next day).

Investigator x1: See's their targets role at night, can't tell anything they find out.

Priest x1: Marries two people. Meaning if one dies, the other does to. (Gender doesn't matter. :P)

Idiot x1: Thinks they are an investigator (player won't know if they're an investigator or idiot, get the persons role wrong all the time)

BAD:

Werewolf x3: Knows who the other werewolfs are and work together to kill a GOOD guy.

Vampire x1: Can choose to make somebody a vampire and they can infect even more vampires. There is a 50/50 chance that somebody will turn into a vampire and if they fail they will be exposed.

---

You don't have to choose a target. So who wants in? If we get enough people, I can start the intro post and we can start RPing and people with roles can send me their targets.

very interesting concept

seems like you'd be doing a lot of coordination tho

perhaps people could play with everyone acknowledging that secrets are secret and in order to prove you've discovered someone's hidden agenda you could quote earlier posts in the thread.

I thus accept the title Grandfather of Awesomeness.

Eh... yea. You can do that when you're voting for somebody to be executed.

Oh... by the way, small detail I forgot to mention, you can't choose what you want.

The last Mafia game we had dried up. I think this would work if it was run on TaijIRC.

You guys had this game before? Oh... yea... I don't really go on IRC and it probably won't work for my computer anyway.

We had a similar game, without the werewolves. I think the only reason it stopped is because the organiser forgot about it. I'm not sure that it would work better on IRC, considering that we're all in different time zones and it doesn't work for some people.

What about me? I'm from merry olde England.

Do you deny me the right to play this game just because I like to sleep occasionally?

Yes, I believe Solnath is.  He doesn't seem to participate in "weakling activities" such as sleep.
"I believe every single person is extraordinary. The tragedy is that we
have a society where too many people never get to fulfill that
extraordinary potential. My view – the liberal view – is that
government’s job is to help them to do it. Not to tell people how to
live their lives. But to make their choices possible, to release their
potential, no matter who they are. The way to do that is to take power away from those who hoard it. To challenge vested interests. To break down privilege. To clear out the bottlenecks in our society that block opportunity and block progress. And so give everyone a chance to live the life they want." - Nick Clegg, Leader of the Liberal Democrats and Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
