The Mountains to the East Deployment Statement
« on: January 08, 2015, 07:07:24 PM »
The following should be considered an official statement from the Taijitu Citizens’ Militia, endorsed by Citizen-Sergeant Dyr Nasad.

At minor update today, Novidi, 14 Gaïôse (Thursday, January 8), a multiorganizational force comprising forces from the United Defenders League, Eastern Pacific Sovereign Army, Founderless Region Alliance, Wintreath Hvitt Ridderal, Spiritus Defense Force, and Taijitu Citizens’ Militia liberated the region of The Mountains to the East from a Black Rider occupying force. This mission was undertaken because the Black Riders had ejected the native government and recently ejected their own forces in order to allow the region to cease to exist. Whether by happenstance or tactical error, the enemy forces left the region but it did not cease to exist, allowing our forces to take the delegacy and revise the banlist earlier today.

The Mountains to the East is a region with an active liberation Security Council resolution that was put into effect last year on 16 Boisaire (November 10). The citizens of NationStates have voted before to allow this region to exist without an occupying force, and therefore we found it within our mandate to aid the removal of that occupying force attempting to force their will on an innocent native populace.

The Taijitu Citizens’ Militia considers it policy to oppose the violation of native sovereignty. The plans of the Black Riders to expel a native population and allow this region with over 60 pages of RMB posts and over 100 posts on an off-site forum to cease to exist completely goes against common decency. To prevent an incident like this occurring again in this region, the Taijitu Citizens’ Militia plans to help the multiorganizational force in protecting the region by allowing the new delegate to accrue enough influence to eject and ban the invader lead, await the repeal of the active liberation resolution, and secure the region for the native community by either password protecting it (and giving them the password) or refounding it if they so prefer (and handing over the founder and providing them with an archive of their regional message board).

This operation may last at least three weeks but likely no more than five. The Militia therefore requests the Ecclesia for permission to continue this operation until its completion. The Militia can provide a status report in three weeks time indicating, if the operation is ongoing, how long may be left.

Thank you for your time.

I move for an immediate vote, lasting no longer than 3 days so as to complete by the third major update from now, between Saturday and Sunday.

I support this mission. Let's move it to a poll (and please do present us with a status update in 3 weeks' time, should the vote pass).

I voted Nay.

I don't think the militia needs to be there for that long. The task has been completed and the region has an active liberation imposed on it.  :-*

I would like to inform the Ecclesia that despite the failure of the liberation repeal, the multiregional force in The Mountains to the East have ejected the raider delegate and our mission is considered completed.
