Kalvskarian economy shoots up!

The incessant work of the Kalvskarian citizens has got its fruits. Now we can say that our economy, which was already considered as good, is now thrieving. The GDP features do not lie, and everything hints that this tendency is going to hold on for many years.

Many firms are considering foreign markets, and in fact we know that Mammoth Motors is shipping automobiles to their new base in the Mercantilist States. "This is going to inject a lot of money into our economy", says Wise Edgard Smiz.

But not everybody agrees with the current situation. "The workers are being spoiled by the firms, and the government does nothing to claim our rights", says Marko Shefer, employee of Windflow Cars. And the recently issued decree to allow enterprises to dismiss troublemakers has done nothing to worsen the situation. Unable to go on strike, threaten to be fired, they organiza demonstrations through the streets and flood the media with their protests.

But one thing is unarguebly true. Whether employers or employees, the new twist of the economy brings now more money to our pockets, and we can now celebrate it with the delicious beer from the Mercantilist States!

Natural gas found

How would you feel if you found natural gas when digging in your garden to plant some asparagus seeds? Surprised, astounded... extremely happy? That was what happened to the Kensen, a family living in a house near Holowkar. They had just moved to their new home, where they could finally have the garden of their dreams; what they did not expect was to find it had been built onto a natural gas reserve.

Prospectors are covering the area for more sources of natural gas. It is the fever of the year!

The automobile industry falls

In an unprecedented crisis for the automobile industry, 70% of the firms operating in this sector have declared their business unprofitable, blaming the Emperor for removing the tariffs. Hundreds of workers who have lost their job struck at the Imperial Palace yesterday requiring an indemnity from the Government; the police had to disperse them with stunning weapons and 10 people were put in prison.

"The Kalvskarians are very hardworking people", declared The Mighty Emperor, "and they deserve something better than trashing their earnings into the pockets of extravagant businessmen".

Mammoth Motors, however, seems untouched by this downfall. Having successfully installed their operations center in the Mercantilist States, their benefits from the foreign market are balancing their domestic looses.

Kasinkar grand opening

Have you ever won a few runes in a casino? Are you good at throwing the dices? Would you like to spend the rest of your life playing cards? If the answer is affirmative, then you can make your dreams true, because Kasinkar, the brand new casino city is now open for dwelling gamblers.

Kasinkar is massive building complex, the size of a town, where people can spend all their savings... or become definitely rich. With luxurious rooms, shops and cinemas, it is the perfect hotel for the convulsive luckmongers. Everything the citizens may need will be at the reach of your hand, and you will not have to suffer from traffic jams, because people will travel by lift. And if you are fed off betting, you can participate in a car race... and people will bet for you! There are sites of insurance companies covering accidents in dangerous sports, and even gambling looses.

The newborn city is expected to grow beyond its core building (city hall?), and in fact there are already plans for residential and commercial districts.

New trends in aesthetic surgery

It is a fact that the 37% of the 100 wealthiest citizens have ever been to surgery for aesthetic reasons. A smaller nose, a lifting or a hair implant were some typical operations that people used to pay for; but what nobody could forecast was somebody would pay for adding an extra kidney or a strong pair of arms that had been trained by the toughest men.

In the other hand, those who have problems to reach the end of the month have dramatically change their appearance, too. But they do not look better at all, but rather worse. Mutilated, armless or liverless, their silhouette is like the one of the zombies our ancestors used to fear, lacking the physical integrity that any living being deserves, they are the shame of the society. One might wonder, is it worth the beauty (?) of the richest people?.

I think it is not.

Happy day of the phoenix!

As all you know, today is the day of the phoenix, the anniversay of the foundation of the reborn Empire of Kalvskar, and the inauguration of the city of New Kalvskar. The legend of the exodus, embellished by the myth of Sir Byte I of Kalvskar, is still alive so many centuries later.

Where does the History end and where does the legend begin? Nobody knows. There are some historicians that even doubt the existence of the paladin-king Sir Byte I, claiming that the exodus lasted too much for a single man to survive; although they do not agree on how long was it.

The exact location of the ancient empire is another mystery. Nobody knows where it was located: some scholars say that it must have been somewhere in Taijitu, other argue that in that case we should know what nation claimed the lands, and that we would have found archeological evidence.

True or false, this holiday is the pride of our empire, and we can be sure that our grandchildren will continue to tell their grandchildren the Legend of the Foundation of Kalvskar.
