Nerdic is Interested in partnerships with companies in your nation, we have expanded to do transportation and trade of both Food and Raw Material, we are in fact the worlds largest Transportation concern. We are also the worlds largest holder of international Rail lines and would be happy to partner with your nation to connect it to our already existing rail lines.

ooc: we might let RFIC to acquire our TGV business (on Takasia peninsula) if they build their HQ in Takasia.  :P
and that will go well with the proposed canal!

ooc: You only have patent inside Takasia. The only way would steal the project. That would lead to a fair cut of relations.

The Holy Empire of Algerianbania would be pleased to build a railroad that would connect our country with other railroads from other countries. This would not be to connect railroads from coast-to-coast. The CGV has rights to that, once our nation makes it to the other coast. If you could please inform us of where this railroad line would begin, and where it could meet up with others.

How does a deal sound? You pay for 95% of the project and receive 90% of the revenue.

We accept your terms, and we have to deal with more technical issues in terms of financing. We have two proposals:

1, Our company will construct and operate the canal, with your government to provide us with the 5% cost, and we will turn in 10% of revenues as taxes.

2. A joint venture between our company and a company of yours, with 90-10 composition, while our company injects extra funds to compensate the 5% difference in construction cost.

We congratulate on the deal, and are looking forward to your decision soon.

Sincerely,
CEO of Takasia Canal A.G., Gan Rongji

The artillery were blasting the hell out of the city square. They had already weakened the wall, and pandas were charging. The vanguard of the animals smashed into the wall, head lowered, sending huge chunks of it flying in many directions. Men were shot into the air, while others opened fire. The panda infantry grouped around the beast, firing at anyone who could be a threat to it. The panda itself smashed a paw through and armored jeep that was firing a gun at the creature. The creature then jumped forward, smashing through other buildings, before coming a large encampment. Slicing and dicing left and right without the infantry back-up, the panda wreaked havoc.

A tank came around a street corner and shot a shell at the beast. The panda, warned by its rider, had already thrown a car at the tank. The car exploded right before the vehicle's barrel, leaving the tank untouched, let stunned. The panda was on it in an instant, riping off the turret, and throwing it like a frisbee into another group of enemies. The battle waged on like this for another ten minutes before the infantry pushed all of the enemy forces into the pandas, or vis versa. Already the Algerianbanian army had taken much of the Strip Lands. This city would also be put on their map.

We have an agreement. The only problem is that the Holy Empire of Algerianbania has no company that could possible be included in the joint venture that you suggest. The largest company remotely near your branch of work is Jenyuilon & Kingsly, Co., which sells Algerianbanian rubies. Perhaps we could make some compromise.

President Jordan looked down on to his desk. On it was a folder recounting the results thus far of the invasion of the Strip Lands. In front of him was an aid. "The Field Marshal in charge of the invasion has done very well Mr. President. Already we control half of the area and not a single war panda has been lost. Ever since we put in place those high-tech anti-artillery rockets, nothing has been to stop the creatures, sir."

Back on the battlefield, the pandas were beasts. Already much land had been taken with minimal casualties. Have the pandas dodge the tanks was the easy part. They were to slow to do any damage to a beast that could run 87 miles per hour, and had reflexes like a wife who's husband had just cheated on her. One piece of bad news and slap, they were on it. No, the problem was the rockets. When they were guided, running would do nothing. Making sharp turns wouldn't do anything with a beast so big. What one had to do was get a sniper to shoot down the rocket. Sounded stupid, but with armor-piecing explosive bullets, they did the job. And were expensive, but then again, no price is to much to pay for a dead Algerianbanian War Panda.

The small conference was being help in Leod, closest to the Strip Lands border. Delegates from both the resistance group, and from the Algerianbanian government. Chaseeta Esach was the first to speak. "We know that you are not happy with the current arrangement. That much was clear when you started fighting back. But the matter of fact is the Holy Empire of Algerianbania is going to conquer your lands, whether you like it or not. And we would prefer that you like it."

Kilolio Jamiguyo, the leader of the self-named resistance group, "Stripped People". "We will only be happy if we keep our homelands to ourselves."

"And that you shall. You shall keep your lands and your money. But, you will need to submit to Algerianbanian law."

A moment of silence before Esach continued. "Let's put it this way. Either you submit, or your children do." With that the Secretary of State walked out of the room. It had been a very short conference. Very short, but what else was their to say. Submit or die. The only hard part now was making them happy.

Back in the conference room, Jamiguyo was holding the pen apprehensively. One of the aids looked at him. "Just sign it. Your life will continue as normal, except that there will just be a few changes. Like a large stock pill of Algerianbanian Rubies which will buy more food and better education for your children. If you play your cards right, the Strip Lands might turn into an even more luxurious than Leod." After a small moments hesitation, the man signed the document. The Strip Lands were now Algerianbania's.

OOC: I would expect you to pick the first option, if you do not have a sizable company in the industry. And you can kick start at any time.

With the agreement struck, Takasia Canal A.G. has sent their experts, headed by Tanaka Ryuichi, to the Pandaland for the canal construction. It was not as simple as the other canals built by the company before, as the canal does require locks, or the lake will dry up at its altitude.

However, it is not an uncommon technique in canal building, and the dams can be used for hydro-electric power generation. This will generate extra revenues for the canal firm. With no time to lose, recruitment drive has started in different parts of Algerianbania. The canal will be constructed concurrently at 6 sections, all at different levels. It is estimated that the construction will take 7 years (considerably shorter than Canal Barga in Saletsia due to its proximity to an environmentally sensitive area).

ooc: 7 years = ?

The colonization of the area was to begin immediately. Already cities were being rebuilt and new land being bought.  The native people of the area, many of which were fluent in both Algerianbanian and English, had been allowed to keep their property, land, and way of life, except that now there were unified under the Holy Empire. Before now, there were only city states, never working together until very recently when they joined together to try and fight back against the invading "panda-men" as they were called. They failed, suffering severe casualties, compared to a mere 27 from the Algerianbanian forces.

The largest city in the region was near the Irnotian border. It was named Reytyr, which in Algerianbanian means pink rose. Many people came to settle there, to leave the overpopulated cities and towns of the small landlocked nation. Another city was being built, this one a port town near the coast. Farther east along the coastline, there was another port town, this one for the military, which purpose there was to build a navy.

OOC: Takasia Canal A.G. and RP Shops of Takasia uses the time scale of 1 RP Year=1 RL Day, and a canal of this scale is not going to appear overnight. btw, does our shipping company have the right to operate ports in your country?

ooc: no. but they can create shops and trade just like anyone else, but not control the ports. but of course the algerianbanian countries would make more money do to taxes, which they wouldn't have to pay.
