An Interactive Tour to Taijitu's Forum

Welcome to Taijitu's off-site forum!  This forum is Taijitu's main meeting place for chatting, engaging in politics, role-playing, and having fun!  You'll be here quite a bit, so to help you use the forum, here's a comprehensive tour.

This tour will take you around each of the sections of the forum through easy-to-use spoilers, so let's get started!  To see more information on any section of the forum, click the "Spoiler" button below the name of the section.

Title Bar

The Title Bar is the black bar at the top of the forum with the big Taijitu logo.  You'll see this bar on every page in forum.taijitu.org.  Click on the spoilers below to see where each link in the Title Bar takes you!

Home

This link takes you to our main forum index, http://forum.taijitu.org/index.php.  This is the homepage of Taijitu's forum, where you'll find all sections of the forum from citizenship application to politics to kitten pictures.

IRC

This link takes you to our IRC (internet relay chat) board in a very basic form, at http://irc.taijitu.org/.  While you can view our IRC in a very basic form here, Taijitu officially recommends the Kiwi IRC web client.  You can find us on Kiwi at https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.esper.net/taijitu.  If you'd prefer to use your own IRC client, we are #Taijitu on EsperNet.

Wiki

This link takes you to our wiki's main page at http://wiki.taijitu.org/wiki/Main_Page.  Our wiki is a fantastic place to find information on Taijitu's nations, our government, and other facts about our region.

Help

This link takes you to an extremely basic help page for our forum, though in reality, it is most likely simply set up to sponsor our host, Simple Machines.  If you actually want some help for the forum, you're already in the right place!

Search

This link takes you to our forum-wide search tool.  You can set search parameters, whether to search by a specific user, your result order, result options, and exactly when results should come from.

Profile

This link takes you to a rich set of pages where you can customize both how your forum profile and posts looks to others, and how others' posts and even the forum itself looks to you.  Below are some spoilers detailing exactly where each and every link inside the profile tab takes you.

Title Bar Link/Summary

This link takes you to your public profile page.  In other words, what your profile looks like to others.

Show Stats

This link takes you to some statistics about yourself through your time here in Taijitu.

Show Posts

This link takes you to a collection of all your posts you've ever made here on Taijitu.

Account Settings

This link takes you to some settings for your account.  These include your displayed name, your email, your password, and your security question.

Forum Profile

This link takes you to some settings for how your profile and posts look to others.  These include your avatar, your description, your birthdate/location/gender, your AOL account (wait, what?!), your MSN Messen- BAHAHAHAHAHA...OK, I'll stop there.  Anyways, it also includes your signature, and your website URL (if you have one, of course).

Notifications

This link takes you to some settings for how you receive notifications.

Personal Messaging

Pretty self-explanatory.  This link takes you to a calendar, mostly consisting of Taijituans' birthdays.

This link takes you to a list of all Taijituans in the Ecclesia.  You can also search for Taijituans from the "Search For Members" link in the dropdown menu.
