IC: Now that the civil war is finally over in my country we can now open our boarders and our hearts to the glorious nations that surround us, greetings friends from the council of provinces.
OC: Hi I'm starting a new nation and your region seemed the nicest of the ones I've looked at so her I am. I've been on nationstates before but left due to some people being arses in role play, so its nice to see people who are more laid back and sensible. So hope to talk to you all soon!

Welcome aboard on my behalf, even though I haven't been around for all too long. A good choice you've made, as this place is easy to adapt to.
Hope to see you soon at the RP-section, enjoy your stay.

As Minister of the Community, I would like to welcome you warm-heartedly to Taijitu Llanydern :)
You might be interested in some of the following...
The How To Section (http://forum.taijitu.org/index.php/board,7.0.html): Consulting some of the posted stickies here might provide you with an answer for some of your questions, and ought to help you off to a good start.
Office of the Minister of the Community (http://forum.taijitu.org/index.php?board=54.0) If you are at any time lost, have any questions, or need help, have a complaintthis is the place to go. I will be more than happy to assist you in whatever way I can.
Games (http://forum.taijitu.org/index.php?board=12.0): An urge to spam? Just need something to do while you wile away the minutes? Then the game thread is the place for you. Especially useful for building up your post count.
Office of the Minister of Internal Affairs (http://forum.taijitu.org/index.php?board=13.0): This is where you want to go if you wish to obtain a Taijitu citizenship. Very simple to obtain, and very much something that you want to obtain if you wish to pursue and ever more in depth approach to Taijitu. In particular, it opens the way to Taijitu’s political realm, and affords you certain rights and privelages.
The Senate (http://forum.taijitu.org/index.php?board=55.0): The heart of Taijitu politics and legislation, it is open to any that have met some rather simple requirements. If you have held citizenship for fifteen days, you can apply for membership in the Senate.
And one of my personal favorites to finish...
Roleplay (http://forum.taijitu.org/index.php?board=8.0): Perhaps one of the best I know of in NS, it’s worth checking out if you are so inclined. And don’t forget that wonderful map (http://forum.taijitu.org/index.php?board=11.0) which Oz has blessed us with. Just remember: you need to have 30 posts, provide a link to your nation, and give coordinates.
I hope that’s enough to get you on your feet and started, but if there is any questions you have, any help you need, don’t hesitate to ask. I am more than willing to help :D

Thanks for the welcome and for the information it should be very useful.
While in real life I'm a socialist my nation is actually a pedocracy (rule by pedant :D), democratic or revolutionary?

Hello and Welcome to Taijitu!
-
thank you
-
welcome LLANYDERN! no RP-er over here, but I do good at :drunks:. Hope you enjoy Taijitu. Feel free to shout should you need anything. ;)
-
thanks I'm a student so I also like :drunks: which is good as i'm in a town of about 15k-20k people with about 100 pubs
-
That reminds me of Oxford.
-
Aberystwyth actually but close (in terms of uni towns in britain)
100 is an estimate, there are officially 64 pubs in Aber, but then that doesn't include any of the clubs, hotels, bars or the uni places (which there are a lot of, in 5 mins walk (all on one campus) I can visit at least 3 bars/pubs and I walk really slowly)
