In this zombie attack, do you think we will have the more traditional shambling horde zombies or the modern day quick and fierce zombie?

I think we'll most likely have a mix of the Evil Dead zombies and the Plan Nine From Outer Space ones.

What do you feel caused the failure of the first eight plans from outer space? Do you see plan nine having better chances at success?

Plan's one to eight all contained numbers that could be multiplied with minus four. That is why the ninth plan is endorsed by the Sun God Ra and is sure to succeed.

Manos: The Hands of Fate!
"I believe every single person is extraordinary. The tragedy is that we
have a society where too many people never get to fulfill that
extraordinary potential. My view – the liberal view – is that
government’s job is to help them to do it. Not to tell people how to
live their lives. But to make their choices possible, to release their
potential, no matter who they are. The way to do that is to take power away from those who hoard it. To challenge vested interests. To break down privilege. To clear out the bottlenecks in our society that block opportunity and block progress. And so give everyone a chance to live the life they want." - Nick Clegg, Leader of the Liberal Democrats and Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

Soly, if your platform now includes cleaning up the act of defenders across NationStates you're going to need a whole lot more than words and speeches.  You will at least need military infrastucture that we don't have right now, an intense intel department, and a huge public relations campaign.  Even if you raise those things, the odds will be against you.  And if you fall into the hypocritical and imperialistic culture and habits of existing defenders, you will ruin this region's culture beyond recognition.

Thanks for putting words in my mouth. I'm unable to do that myself.

My point was that we can start to change the defender culture of NS by showing an example. Changes on that front won't necessarily be swift or seemingly efficient, but Rome wasn't built in a day either. The question of military policy is illogical on NS, though, because some people actually enjoy it.

Logical defender, not Meri's "rotten-to-the-core and going to exploit your grandmother till she gives us her cookie recipes" conception of NS "defenders."
