Title: Saletsian Ties
Post by: Saletsia on March 18, 2007, 01:59:55 PM
By order of President Barga, the People's Republic of Saletsia now is ready to open international relations with other socialist and leftist states of Taijitu.

Economic agreements have so far been agreed upon between Saletsia and Xyrael.

The capital Bandana is now open for international delegations (ambassadors).

The Chinese Loyalist State would like to build economic and military relations with Saletsia. We hope that you would continue to provide us with more military equipment in the future.

Saletsia is honored by the request. We are currently working on a new low-cost APC, the Type-63 APC.
In order to lower costs, we offer you to build the factories in the Chinese Loyalist State and we will train your people how to work with the machines.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_63_%28armoured_personnel_carrier%29 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_63_%28armoured_personnel_carrier%29)

We may also build a railway system from your capital leading into Saletsia to improve transportation.

I am...in tears at the joy of this proposal. We would immediately set up a area in Gandao for the factory. As for the railway, we would request that it connect our capital of Anyai. My country is in your debt for your kindness and friendship.

An armed convoy will transport Saletsian engineers to your capital for the factory. It will take a year to finish the first facility and we intend to build two. ( = 2 days total). As for the railway, we are currently building one leading to Xyrael and shall start building one to your capital. We will also send some workers and trainers to your country to help train your people.
We would be honored to exchange embassies with your nation.
Title: Re: Saletsian Ties
Post by: Union on March 26, 2007, 01:41:46 PM
We look forward to completion of the factory, we hope this technology transfer would aid us in expanding. The workers and trainers would be under the protection of the 1st Rifles Regiment. We have also began construction on the Industrial Academy at Anyai for your trainers to teach and stay in. Please do mind the roads (we have few).

I would also like to express our need for diesel fuel for our recent purchase of vehicles from you. Perhaps you can ship them to us through our feature rail connection. We would be willing to pay 25 yao per litre.

On a sidenote, our state had recently slump into a economic downturn, and I am sorry to inform you that our currency is now half its value. I know this would affect the value of yao reserves in your treasury. We hope this economic slump wouldn't last too long.

All Saletsian military vehicles use biodiesel based on coconut oil. This way, we can "grow" our own fuel. If you have coconuts, we can send you the machineries necessary for the production of biofuel or you may buy it from us, with a liter costing 0.5 peso.
Title: Re: Saletsian Ties
Post by: Union on March 26, 2007, 06:08:32 PM
We would pay 6 yao (roughly 0.5 peso) per litre, for 1 million litres. This would be 6 000 000 yao. We would deliver the money now, and await for the fuel shipment to the future Anyia Rail Station complex. My administration would deal with the paperwork and arrangement with your people. Good doing business with you.

We will send the first liters via trucks and helicopters. The rest will be transported using the train.

Our nation would be most interested in trade between our two nations.  Our nation mainly requires aid with setting up infrastructure and expert advice.

Particularly needed are:
Mining equipment/expertise
Road building equipment
Steal production equipment
Military advisers
Educational equipment (very important especially science and mathematics textbooks)
Power generation infrastructure.

We too would be interested in trade with you. We are currently interested in metals such as iron for our steel industry.

We shall send you military advisers, textbooks and other requested items in exchange for iron if wanted.
Title: Re: Saletsian Ties
Post by: LLANYDERN on March 26, 2007, 08:42:11 PM
would this be ore or pig iron?

If you are needing steel that could be supplied as payment (in small quantities until the infrastructure is improved).

Post by: Saletsia on March 26, 2007, 08:45:53 PM
Ore would do.

Yes we would be thankful for steal.

We shall send the equipments you require as well as engineers, military advisers and other experts within a month time.
As for power generation, we use biomass generators,  biodiesel engines and wind turbines.

wind would be good but for our nation fossil fuels would be preferable to bio fuels as my nation has a large supply of gas, oil and coal is available but good agricultural land is rare (even not so good is rare).

We have an emergency in our hands right now, one of the Chancellor's nephews have been abducted near your coast. Do you have any information on this incident?

We ourselves have very limited fossil fuel deposits. Though, we have enough agricultural land. We would be willing to trade our agricultural products against seafood.

My nation only really harvests one form of fish which is freshwater.

If Fossil fuels would be useful then we could also trade in those.

Also would it be possible to trade with CL through your nation as a land link is impractical and they question a route via xyrael
Title: Re: Saletsian Ties
Post by: Saletsia on March 27, 2007, 06:43:14 AM
We will take any fish. We do not really need fossil fuels at the moment. And yes, you can use a route through Saletsia to trade with the Chinese Loyalist State.
If you are interested, we would be willing to create a multinational security force for our trade transports. This would be an opportunity for you to also further enhance your military forces.

I find it extremely interesting that your nation is looking to reach out to other Left and Socialist nations in Taijitu.  We are trying to do the same thing.  If you would hear my nation's proposal for Leftist unity, I suggest you send a representative to Confederate Freedom as soon as possible.  It is being proposed to Xyrael, Confederate Freedom, and Llanydern there.  It is also being proposed separately to Uichi Ryu.

Or, if you like I could fax you a copy for your own personal perusal; then you wouldn't have to spare a diplomat.

I would greatly appreciate it if you would ascertain the feelings of the Chinese Loyalist State on this matter.  We have few relations with them at the moment, while your nation is one of its primary trading partners.  Our intelligence informs us that Arasel would look favorably upon this proposal, though it has not been brought to their attention as yet.

Please respond as soon as possible,
Aram Caros, Foreign Relations Committee Chairman

From the Loyalist State's Ministry of Transport:

As a result of surplus military spending budget, the Chancellor has ask us to use surplus funds to fund a state fuel provision to buy bio diesel from Saletsia. This contract would place you as our principle supplier of fuel.

These are the terms:

We would pay a flat sum of 300 000 000 yao for 18 month worth of bio diesel + shipment cost.

The amount of oil we receive will be base on the market price (we wish to receive discount if possible).

Another 50 000 000 yao would be allocated for your companies to improve and expand fuel storage facilities.

Shipments would be receive on a weekly basis.

Any miscellaneous expense would be file to the Ministry of Transport for further payment options.

If you have any changes in mind, please tell us.

Saletsia is honored to be the Chinese Loyalist State's primary fuel supplier.

We accept your terms and also shall give you a 23% discount off the normal market price.

If you wish, we could also set up two more refineries within your country and storage facilities to avoid fuel shortages in case transport may not be possible due to natural calamities.

We are glad that you agree with the terms, and we thank you for the additional discount. Also, we won't mind the additional facilities that you offer.

As a continue friendship and trust between us, we have decide to offer you access to our private fuel markets and distribution rights in the Dominion of Chinese Loyalist. We have offer a tax-free policy for any Saletsian company or state firm that wishes to supply bio diesel for the general population. If any Saletsian affiliate wishes to start business here, they can discuss it with our Commerce ministry. We hope in the near future, we will start seeing Saletsian fuel stations on our street corners.

Chancellor of the Chinese Loyalist State

For the continuous friendship between our nations.

We thank you for the economic privileges you give us. We would be more than grateful to accept them and shall start the construction of gas stations, storage facilities and refineries right away. We will do our best to make bio fuel accessible to the Chinese Loyalist population as it is to the Saletsian people.

Considering the offer, we would like to inquire on the possibility of establishing arms production facilities within your great nation.

I'm sorry to tell you that we must reject your offer for Saletsian arm factories in our jurisdiction, as our legislation outlaws any foreign or private owned weapon production to be built and operated in our territories. We are mostly concern about the security factor and stability issues that might arise from non-state controlled factories. We humbly apologize.

The Saletsian Government understands the security concerns. Is there maybe a possibility to establish automobile or truck factories (for civilian use) in your country?

As long as they meet our emission and fuel requirements, any business can be directed to our Transport Ministry. However, you must understand that our government is trying to promote alternative transportation such as our transit system and bicycles. However, we are in great need of trucks for commercial and logistic purposes. Two ton trucks and 8 wheelers would be welcome and promoted for civilian and military use.
Title: Re: Saletsian Ties

Then we shall only establish production facilities for trucks that you need. We can also do a joint-venture with a 50% share each.
Title: Re: Saletsian Ties
Post by: Union on April 29, 2007, 05:13:23 PM
That would be most beneficial for us, we would perhaps divert the funds into expanding our transit system.

I have 16 pre-surveyed spots for tungsten and titanium mining, we need Saletsian help in exploiting these resources.
We would provide manpower and supplies, and Saletsia can provide technical resources and security. For this partnership, each of us would receive a half of all ore mined. Tungsten and titanium will come in useful for our military needs.

We also request that 800 of our candidates be enlisted in metallurgy and mining studies in Saletsia. Any expenses can be appropriated from our Education department.

Saletsia gratefully accepts the proposal for this new ore-mining cooperation with the Chinese Loyalist State.
Your 800 candidates shall be awaited. As part of this program, we will lower their fees to 50% of the normal fees.

The Mercantilist Brewing Company is interested in establishing a distribution hub in your nation and are interested in purchasing farmland for cultivation of tobacco, would this be possible?

We would also like to inquire if Bandana Wines would be interested in entering into discussions for a possible merger with the Mercantilist Brewing Co., we currently do not offer wines (or sake) and would be interested in expanding our business into that area. We would be able to bring Bandana products to the far reaches of Taijitu.

Sincerely,

Tobacco is banned in Saletsia, hence we have to decline. And all big enterprises are state-owned.You may, though, establish the distribution hubs. Of course, these would be taxed by the government.
