Since the Questions thread is getting a little long, I repost only the Application process here -- at the recommendation of Dame Khablan, KOGH.
Application: Any nation may apply to join the Order. The procedure is as follows:
1) Publicly post that you wish to join the Order of Gryphons. You may also select a Branch [see below] if it is your intention to join one.
2) Tell us what attracted you to the Order of Gryphons.
3) Tell us about your Virtues, why you would be a good Brother or Sister of the Order. We of the Knighthood believe that everyone has at least three virtues that would make him or her fit to join the Order. If you have problems attaching one or more to yourself, simply drop one of us a line and we’ll help you out!
4) Declare the name of the Nation joining if it differs from your registered name here. It is the custom to hoist the flag of Member Countries as they are received to the Order.
We are not looking for essays. Short answers will suffice. Simply be truthful, that is all we ask. You will be reviewed as quickly as possible. Under normal circumstances, this review will be done by the Chapter-Master of your Region and the Knight-Commander. In regional forums where a new Chapter is being assembled, the review process differs somewhat.
Supporters/Champions: Masterknights are asked to act as Supporters (in a style inspired by Heraldry) to Aspirants (those who have applied). It is hoped that an Aspirant will have at least 2 different Supporters. Supporters are asked to get to know that Aspirant they Champion, and post regarding the Aspirant’s Gryphonnic Qualities. Notes: Many Master-Knight nations have ceased to exist. Finding a Master-Knight as a Supporter may prove difficult.
To Aspirants: If a Masterknight does not step forward to Champion you, you may consider contacting known Gryphons for their Support.
After Application and Support, a review takes place. It is generally brief.

I, Talmann of Talstadt, wish to apply to the Order of the Gryphons. I believe myself fit to be a Brother for the following reasons:
A) First and foremost, I am an Eagle Scout of the Boy Scouts of America, and know the virtues of the Boy Scout Oath and Law;
B) Having achieved that rank, and also making it to Texas All-State (hard to do, FYI), I am a dedicated individual to my chosen causes;
C) I have been forever enamoured with chivalry and knighthood.

We still have one outstanding applicant - Korinna. I think he might have been forgotten, so I'm copying from the old thread to re-post here.
After much pondering I have decided that I, Korinna, hereby wish to join The Order of The Gryphons.
I was attracted to the Order, because I share many of the same ideals. I believe in honor, respect, and helping to better society and helping your fellow man.
I have always used my personal moral code to try to help those in need. I have always tried to be kind to everyone I meet, including those who sometimes do not deserve it. I do not let my kindness and generosity cloud my judgment though. I will not to hesitate to point out something that I believe is morally wrong. This has let me to be an outcast at times. I believe I am intelligent and believe that if educated to do the right thing people can change. I have been told that I am a great listener and have counseled my friends many times. I try my best to show respect and honor to those who have earned it. I do believe in the end love and respect is all we have to look forward to.

I, Siath Kozai of the Monarchy of Kozai, wish to apply to the Order of the Gryphons. I am a King of the Royal Family and thus, I hold the virtues that one of my status should have. I will be a good Brother of the Order considering being a Knight of my nation has taught me much. And I wish to join to ally with other nations, and I want to uphold honor and peace, something that is desperately needed in our nation.

Kindly allow me to seek admittance to the most honorable Order of Gryphons as a hopeful for the Knights Hospitaler. I have been attracted to this organization for quite some time now, mainly due to the sense of honor and my yen for an active role in improving the "lives" of NS players of all regions while respecting and working for their own wishes.
The virtues I believe myself to possess are those of compassion, honesty, and the desire to stand up for what is right. Though imperfect, to be sure, my heartfelt desire is to show compassion and understanding to my fellow human beings, whether they be like-minded or otherwise, and to fight for their rights and their happiness in a non-violent way. I seek truth in all situations and will not give in to fear of expressing my opinions, though I try to voice them in a way that will cause the least amount of upset in a delicate situation. Causing harm to others is never the way to righteousness, in my mind.
I do hope this is satisfactory and that my application finds you well.

Honorable Gryphons of Taijitu,
I am very pleased to see Akka-Wakka apply to join the order. He is an old friend who has regained interest in NS and I am sure that his contribution to the Order and the Taijituan Chapter in particular, can be only beneficial. Some of you might know him from the pre-Taijituans times some of us have shared, or from our official channel in irc.
He has been introduced to the Order by K-C Thyatira and myself and has displayed a vivid interest in our community of principle and faith. A very lively personality but also a reliable friend, I support Akka-Wakka's application wholeheartidly and will stand as his Champion. I invite you to invest your trust in him and need another Champion for Akka Wakka's application to be considered.

I am applying for a position the Order if my application is accepted. If after you see my virtues if you would like to recommend me to any branch, that would be greatly appreciated. I was drawn to the order because this is an organization in which members from many different regions join together for one common cause, and I believe that there are currently not enough ways for this to happen.
My virtues:
1. I am a social guy and my social skills will help me communicate with other knights and people outside of the Order whom I shall be meeting.
2. I am a kind guy who is honest and stands up for the truth and what is right.
3. My wits and intelligence will scourge up great ideas to further the future of the Order and will help make the correct path clearer in sticky situations.
