Others call it the Americas, the American Continent, or the South Continent.
Which I believe is because nobody suggested a name for it, and American-based nations are the ones that are placed there.  :-\

Oz still not returning, I may make a post organizing all valid claims made on this post so that it is easier for him should he return.

For the record, with the exception of the far southern colonies and islands south of former PUR (Now Joukai) I cede all mainland possessions as well as the islands off the homeland to Sel'ia.

Check the fantasy forums instead, in particular the middle ages forum. In order to apply for this map I believe you need 30 posts, also I didn't see you post on the introduction thread :P might want to go say hi. For the middle ages you need no posts. I just need photoshop to complete that map...

What are the conditions of obtaining and having colonies in the first place?

Colonies provide no material benefit. The reason for G-C, Moacia, and Oz being my colonies was a pre-RP plan for RP in which they agreed to RP movements for freedom, which was agreed upon by the rp mods. As of late G-C and Oz have quit RP, and I have annexed Moacia (agreed with Oz, we have more rp planned should he return).

The "colonies to the south" I'm referring to are national territories that I call colonies, according to my former national statistics I 'colonized' them in my history, much as Corsica isn't a part of historical France but is part today. As of right now they are the last vestige of my country, along technically with Moacia which has seperate statistics and an economy vastly similar to the Gaza Strip.
