Map Addons
« on: August 11, 2007, 05:49:36 PM »
Well, saw a nice concept of a micro-nation, being a large ship, added to the map. I thought about add very small islands to the map (max archipelago, similar to RL Açores/Azores). Creating a Delfian Archipelago somewhere on the Phoenix sea...still up for that, but then it hit me. I want to RP my subs exploring the seas, specially the arctics...but they do not exist in Taijitu, do they?

the real question is, can we add terrain to taijitu map? small archipelago or small island? Can we 'add' the north pole and south pole?

I'm currently trying to make the north pole map (funny looking, although most of the nations are stretched...), calling it the Hartik.

Is this possible?

*I'll post an image of the Hartik soon*

Is this close to the polar map you are referring?

yes, tbh i used that exact picture, but what i mean is that there is no ice gap, no piece of land on the pole, no nothing. Here's an unfinished map:

If taking this example, basically what is pure white is ice gap at surface, would propose that people can access to this 'territory' freely, without having to own it. Like, people can RP stuff, maybe expeditions, can RP submarines making tests or surface tests. I think it's interesting having a north pole, if you consider making it an actual (free/disputed) territory it would be nice.

that would be cool. but then me might have to worry about it melting and the sea levels rise.

::) that should be anyone's concern, but this forum isn't European, if you know what i mean...

This map addon is just to make basis for more RPs, maybe you could dispute the Hartik, I'm planning testing submarines (Like Russia does) and make Taijitan Geographic Society expedition to North Pole...

 :wb:

Would make a rule, both Hartik and Panthartik (funny?) cannot be owned by any player, they are just ice at surface, you can even navigate through, or under closer to the poles...

But anyway, i do not decide anything, I'm waiting for their Moderator or Oz's approval.

That'd be interesting. The polar region could be some mysterious region with some abnormal thing.

Taijitu is in general warmer than Earth. Takasia has already has RPs navigating (actually commercial shipping) via the Polar Area during the summer months.

TGS could find "abnormal" animals in the Hartik, but no space ships or some people might go crazy...

Tak the Hartik 'borders' are totally navigable. To a more realistic RP, anyone touching the 'amost white' area should RP sea icing and sea melting.

Talmann, love the idea of the abnormal animals! I was joking about space-ships...

note, your Talstadt is named Schmidts, and big Oz is named Bochas. This is a military map, they use nicknames. Haven't found any good one for Takasians :p

Uhmmm >_>

1) St Oz already has a people that regularly live on the Ice Arctics such as the north pole called the Fre'zhi (had this since my beginnings)
2) I've already RPed abnormal creatures and different plants such as Zuavka, Duzhu, Pai'hulu, and those birds that stab through brains to get their prey.
3) The Ice connects to the Northern Coast of St Oz, You can't exactly freely go through it even in summer months.
4) Ozians have already had Arctic Submarines in use, The Idovk and the "Jumper" subs. that regularly travel under the arctic. That's the reason the entire Ozian navy is Mainly AEGIS Ice cutting cruisers and Submarines with only 2 Carriers in Service that can only cross through once or twice a year. 1 of them is currently stationed at Xyrael. The other in the seas of Ozia.

Anyway... Why would New Delfos want to travel all the way to the North pole and not the south pole?

same way, it's for exploration. So you mean they exist and are RPable. That's all i wanted to hear.

Delfos, you realize if you RP'd on the north pole, you'd be free to be attacked by Oz's Frezh'i. This would be interesting, as it could be conflict without declarations of war or large scale nuclear exchanges or mobilization of forces, or 80 million troops. At any rate, the South pole might be smarter, near SD, Elu Colony, and others.
I have become, again and again.
