Taijituan Lottery Information
« on: May 14, 2007, 12:22:00 AM »
In the Taijituan Lottery, endorsed by the Ministry of Finance, there shall be two categories, as follows:

Category One, "Sunshine:"

Tickets cost one Tai.
Maximum of three tickets per user on each round, additional tickets shall not be registered and will be a waste of money.

Six numbers shall be drawn out of thirty numbers. Depending on the amount correct, winnings shall be distributed according to a predetermined, fixed ratio based on the Lottery Pool. Every round's winnings shall be announced at the beginning of the round.

Category Two, "Moonshine:"

Tickets cost five Tai
Maximum of three tickets per user on each round, additional tickets shall not be registered and will be a waste of money.

Seven numbers shall be drawn out of fifteen numbers. Depending on the amount correct in appropriate places, winnings shall be distributed according to a predetermined, fixed ratio based on the Lottery Pool. Every round's winnings shall be announced at the beginning of the round.

In neither Category shall a number be replaced in the drawing, so duplicate numbers on tickets serve no purpose. The Lottery will be open to all Citizens, who are required upon participation to pick their numbers publicly. Alteration of these numbers after posting them in the appropriate Lottery thread constitutes as fraud, so please consider them carefully before posting. The Lottery will operate on a weekly basis, at least initially.

Example of Sunshine:
Pool: 300 Tai
Official numbers: 22, 7, 28, 19, 2, 8
Ticket numbers: 12, 5, 8, 14, 9, 7

The ticket has two correct and would win approximately 3 Tai.

Example of Moonshine:
Pool: 300 Tai
Official numbers: 15 - 10 - 2 - 3 - 14 - 5 - 7
Ticket numbers: 15 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6

The ticket has four correct and would win approximately 30 Tai.

Soly,
Minister of Finance

Tickets shall be purchased at the Taijitu Trade Centre from the Bank of Taijitu, found in the upper toolbar. They will be available, once ready, for purchase by Citizens.

The tickets must be submitted to the person responsible for the Lottery when submitting your choice of numbers. In the case that less than an equivalent number of tickets are sent (e.g. three sets posted and two tickets sent), only the numbers supported by a ticket in order of posting shall be validated. After validation, no changes can be made to those numbers.

For any questions, please ask in the "Taijituan Lottery Q&A"-thread.

Employees of the Ministry of Finance are not allowed to participate in the Taijituan Lottery. Period. That includes me.

The limit of three entries per round applies only to individual lotteries. Citizens are allowed to buy up to three rows of numbers in both categories each round if they wish to do so, adding up to a cumulative total of six rows, three of each.

Due to technical problems in the SMF structure, Sunshine tickets cost one Tai.
