Title: Announcement Regarding the MoF
Post by: Prydania on December 11, 2007, 12:56:50 AM
I apologize, this should have been posted when it was made official, but eh, better late then never.
After his election to the office of the Delegate Pragmia contacted me regarding the Ministry of Finance.
It was of Pragmia's opinion that the MoF wasn't essential, and believed the region would best be served if it was done away with. He asked me if I would mind him shutting the Ministry down. I was planning on resigning following the election anyway (regardless of the outcome), so I gave him the go-ahead.

So yeah, the MoF has been dead since Pragmia's election.  :drunks:

thx for the info...wish there was an officially updated list somewhere of who's who in Taijitu ie. what Ministers and Ministries currently exist.
Does the closing of the MoF mean there is no longer any internal finance here?

All internal finance duties have been taken up by the executive branch (Delegate and Vice Delegate).
Also, I'm sure if you PMed the Delegate (Pragmia) he'd be more then happy to give you a list of all the Ministers and Deputy Ministers.

Although encouraged by your assuredness, fact is, I've written quite a few, both telegrams and pms...but so far the silent treatment ( cold shoulder?) has been the response...that coupled with the fact that I was accused for spamming on my second post! Hmmmm....if one looks at the numbers this place seems a sinking ship....I'm not wondering why.

No need to worry. Prag's a busy guy. Remember we're also in the middle of exam season.

:-X  If you keep this attitude up, perhaps you should abandon it...

I'm certainly not the only nation concerned about the dwindling numbers and why...nor am I the only nation who has spoken up about it and/or other things I spoken a little about; regional apathy etc...but I am a nation whose 'attitude' bothers you enough to suggest I should abandon the region. Do you often make this same suggestion to other nations?
Perhaps the premise that nations' behavior in one region inevitably repeats itself wherever they go, and the fact that my UN nation was previously banjected from a region because of one other nation's decision regarding my 'attitude' influences your consideration in my case.
My 'attitude' is my attitude. It's flexible...sometimes it's enthusiastic and positive, other times, it struggles to withold what it values, my thoughts, for the sake of pleasing others.
I would of course, prefer, that my expressing myself in this region- wasn't simply only to welcome other citizens to exclusively criticize and judge my posts, and to not respond to posts where they find no evidence of perceived negativism. Over all- so far, the majority of responses have not been sooo negative as to encourage me to leave the region. In any case, eventually, 3 out of 4 of the government areas I wrote to responded. No question that attending to RL matters is a priority. Yet there is also little question IMHO that if newbies' or newcomers' actually decide to apply to the various Ministries for further involvement and or request simple info and they are not responded to, that this illustrates well, how active this region's forum is.
